I have just returned from a routine patrol mission to the Tokelau Ice Cloud in the Omicron Delta system. On my route, I noticed so strange readings originating from close to the Omicron Zeta jump hole and decided to deviate from my route and investigate. As I came closer to the origin of the anomaly in the sector E3, the ship experienced increased gravity from the surrounding large asteroids surrounding the area. Naturally, there were some Nomad and most likely infected ships around the area as well given the proximity to the Omicron Zeta jump hole, but they were no immediate threat. At closer examination of the site, the scanners showed that the small rocks floating around were rich in Iridium, which we might be able to extract and refine on one of our bases. For now, I returned to Reincarnation Outpost. However, I would strongly suggest to send out a dedicated scouting team including at least one freighter equipped with a mining array to test whether we can extract some Iridium ore from that field.

Javier, good to hear from you. I was checking the reports of some missions in Delta, and got your notification on my feed.
So after reading it all, you're telling me that you found out in Tokelau cloud, a cloud we always tough it was barren from any important resource, and a barrier to the nomad domain that protects us, that there might be Iridium deposits worth to scan? Let me be a bit skeptical about it, I think we should move our flotillas to the near systems for defense, not for some scientific investigations.
But since there might be a chance, I am wrong, I will give you the resources to make a proper scientific expedition on that forgotten cloud and probe if there is any resource worth extracting. I will talk to Valerio, chief of the Dorado expeditionary fleet, he will arrange the preparations and move a scientific team with some vessels for the task to Reincarnation, you take the lead from there.
I wish you good luck with the expedition, and to probe I was wrong, and you were right with that Iridium.

I have just returned from the scientific expedition to investigate the potential Iridium ore deposits in the Tokelau Ice Cloud. I am delivering both bad and good news. The bad news is that you were wrong about the cloud not bearing any resources worth extracting. The good news is that we in fact found metal ore at the inspected anomaly and our scientific team could confirm that the extracted material is indeed Iridium. Using our mining arrays, the collection process was very slow, but nevertheless our incredible flotilla could fill my Correo freighter and a Raba frigate with the ore. The expedition team safely returned to Reincarnation Outpost and delivered the ore for inspection and, if possible, refining.
Given our previous experience with refining Gold ore in Fort Torrelavega in the Dublin system, our Crew at Reincarnation Outpost should be able to transfer the refining process to the collected Iridium ore. Ideally we could bring some of the ore refining experts from Fort Torrelavega here for a couple of weeks to train our staff on-site. If we can indeed successfully obtain pure Iridium metal ourselves, this would be a new, highly profitable business opportunity for us to further fill the war chests of the Imperio Corsario.
It is noteworthy, that we also met two Zoners in Hegemon miners at the location that were similarly there for the Iridium. Our scans showed that they applied special mining arrays for Iridium extraction that appeared to be significantly more effective than our regular mining arrays. In the case we are successful with refining the Iridium ore on Reincarnation Outpost, I would suggest to reach out to them for negotiating terms with them to share their more effective mining technology with us.
Our hard-working iridium refinement crew on Reincarnation just reported the first success in obtaining pure iridium from the ore we obtained in the Tokelau Ice Cloud some weeks ago. The yield is still improvable, but I am certain that our capable scientists and engineers will find a way to increase the yield in the next few weeks.
Nevertheless, I would recommend to contact the Zoners as soon as possible to share their specialized mining technology with us, which would be of great benefit for future mining operations.
As the additional crew and scientists from Torrelavega will stay another 2 weeks, I will relocate to Omicron Gamma in the meantime to help out with the urgent work on the new shipyard. But, I will make sure to return to Reincarnation Outpost on time to bring back the crew and scientists to our Dublin base. I am writing to report that the scientists and engineers, which were temporarily transferred from Fort Torrelavega in the Dublin system to Reincarnation Outpost in Omicron Delta to supervise and support the local crew with the establishment of the Iridium ore refinement process, have just returned to their original posts on Fort Torrelavega. Their task has been completed to our fullest satisfaction and the base is now able to extract highly pure Iridium from the ore deposits we discovered in the Tokelau Ice Cloud.
However, both the ore mining and refinement processes should be further optimized in the future to even increase our productivity and profits for the Imperio. Nevertheless, the operation already is a gran éxito and will certainly fill our treasure chambers. I already informed the base administrator Capitán Piernas Rojas about the return of his crew and he appeared highly pleased to see them all back well and in good shape.
Please allow me to introduce myself shortly: My name is Elias Barkas and I am the head of engineering on Reincarnation Outpost. I have been tasked with overseeing the scanning of the mining array obtained from the destroyed Core mining vessel some days ago and am writing to you to report back our observation results.
Without going too much into technical details, we have observed that the captured mining array uses a beam emitter spectrum enhanced especially in high-frequency wavelengths compared to our mining arrays. After analyzing their technology in our specialized scanning facility, we created a 3D computer model of a prototype that should emit a similar multi-spectrum beam as the captured mining array. However, we will require some specific materials to construct the first prototype:
