Subject: Capture of the Farmer Cruiser "Nagai"

Brothers and Sisters. Today must be marked down in history as the day the Landwirtrechtsbewegung regained its grip on what really matters, regained its fangs and most importantly regained its independence. No longer shall we serve the command of the leashed Farmer Alliance and their puppet masters. Righteously, we have stood against the oppressive methods utilized by them and freed Frau Schröder from her captors. Her act of desperation inspired us. No more hidden agendas, no more schemes. All that matters is freeing our beloved motherland from Synth Foods greed. We will no longer stand for anyone's interest but our own, those of the fine farmers of Rheinland.
The blood price we paid today was significant, for waves after wave of Farmer Alliance vessels vanquished our forces within the span of minutes following the demise of the Frigate Kiritsu. However, next to Sabine's freedom, we are proud to announce a major victory. After the Farmer Cruiser "Nagai" was bruised badly within the system of Köln by our people, we have stood up against Captain Kakashi Reizo and his crew. For years, we have served together with them as beacon of potential true cooperation between our two groups, for years we have successfully undermined Synth Foods together. Myself, I served as their first negotiator. All this changed today when they've openly promoted the slaughter of all those standing against the unrightful trial of Sabine Schröder. Thirteen loyal Rheinlanders and two Kusaris was all it took, when the Nagai was forced to disengage in Köln. A heated, violent mutiny. All the remaining crewman loyal to Captain Reizo unfortunately had to die. We have lost six proud men and two proud women for it. We shall honor the fallen, especially Ito Atasuke and Watabe Tetsuya - both loyal friends who sided with justice today and gave their life for us, opposing their countryman for what they believed was right.
The bruised up Nagai was under our control, too late to contribute to the freeing of Frau Schröder, too late to turn the tide of battle against the Farmer Alliance reinforcements. It is a pity, a shame and a debt we have to pay, and we will. A few escape pods were all we could carry away, only for a nasty surprise to await us within the Hamburg system. The Hogoshoku, another cruiser class owned by the Farmer Alliance. With the remaining Farmers tailing us, we had little choice but to play it carefully. To our luck, a small wing of our own forces arrived on scene and caused enough chaos for us to give this cruiser a chase. We cannot tell what became of our men but I am afraid we must assume the worst. If the Cruisers crew was scared by our ferocity or perhaps on general retreat back home, it was hard to tell as their communications remained silent. Only once we were sure they were no threat to our local forces anymore, did we retreat. The route to the Schwarzwald remained blocked by hostile Alliance ambushers who we narrowly escaped, forcing us to take position within the vast Kielfeld for the time being.
The Nagai is severely damaged and our early assessments put her somewhere between "costly to bring back to fully operational status" and "a good collection of spare parts for the Schwarzwald". We will meet up with the Schwarzwald once the Farmer Alliance was pressured away from our usual paths.
Glory to the farmers of Rheinland! Today we stand proud, tomorrow we shall celebrate. Then we shall fight again, remind Synth Foods to fear us once more! Leave them no room, give them no hope. Plot their demise. Burn down their precious Neckar. Put a torpedo into everyone who opposes us. From here on out, the LWB will not bow. We will not falter again. We will liberate our home from Synth Foods. We will crush all those trying to control us, no matter for they are Kusari, corrupted Rheinlanders or God himself!
