During the first few days of the new patch, there was a bugged Zoner Pilot commodity based trading route in Pennsylvania which enabled an unintended and overpowered means of generating large amounts of credits in a short period of time. In the interest of preserving the player credit economy, we have been investigating and identifying ships and players that have used this route. While we define the use of this bug as an exploit, we would like to offer an opportunity for players to come forward and disclose what characters were used and how many credits were generated by use of this bug - we will view this as a good faith demonstration that the declared use was merely a misunderstanding, and we will only remove the exploited credit values without further sanction.
All players will have a week to declare how much they made from abusing the bug. All those who declare their exploit money fully will have the equivalent value of the exploited money removed and no further consequences. Those that don't fully declare and have their exploit money removed will have any ships (shared or solo) and POBs that touched the exploit money deleted, and further sanctions may result.
Reports should be posted here.
Those who wish to self-report, please consolidate all exploit funds to a single ship and use this template:
Code:
Title: Bugged Trade "PLAYER FORUM NAME"
Ships used:
Amount of credits generated:
Ship on which exploited credits are located:
So if I ever find a credit exploit, all I have to do to get away punishment-free is laundering it enough to make it too annoying to track. I'll be sure to write this down in my crime notebook.
You should've just zeroed out the offenders' credits completely. They knew what they were doing.
I once had a glitch on a PoB whereby a certain commodity produced from a factory was going around twice as fast... No biggie huh? the "issue" was that it required zero of the input commodities and was still making the output commodity.
I reported this as soon as I was aware and didn't get punished- for which I'm thankful.
I haul things literally everywhere on many different ships- Please can the admin team show pictures of the EXACT commodity & infocard which was glitched? I'm sure I was not involved- but I'd like to be sure.
Also images of the docking locations both ends/what was hauled the other way please?
