I am contacting you in recommendation of Maya Mcascott following a most entertaining conversation the other day.
While I am certain that the Guildmaster is aware what the Civil Defence Initiative is and what it stands for, I wish to remind you that they are a civil militia supporting the thin ranks of the Bretonian Police Authority.
Your employee was so nice and hint me that there is a possibility to reach a certain arrangement between your Guild and myself - potentially with the CDI in general later on. As you can surely imagine, the current situation in Bretonia creates immense opportunities for cargo interceptions and from my past experience outside of Police work, I am well accustomed to the IMGs far reaching and sometimes surprisingly broad customer base. The chaotic situation also enables the discreet flow of goods to other channels if you know how to approach things.
I believe you catch my idea already by now. I am aware that the Guild is capable of purchase and sale of goods without each side of the transaction asking questions. Every ounce of confiscated unmarked Gold is stuck in a bureaucratic hellhole for many weeks, with an eventual hand over to BMM. The free market of Sirius yearns for Gold at an unpreceded scale and who would we be to oppose this, am I right, Guildmaster? Both me and the Guild could profit from a little arrangement. Of course, it will be met with all precautious measures I can come up with. The Guild already is on thin ice with the Bretonians after all.
And do not worry about anyone listening in. I've got a reputation to uphold here.
Well I hope you too have a wonderful day Constable,
I must clarify that the Guild does not engage in any illegal activities within the House of Bretonia, nor are we interested in cooperating with you on such matters.
However, speaking hypothetically, if I, as a private individual, were to entertain a proposal such as yours, it would indeed seem advantageous for both parties to alleviate the already overburdened bureaucracy of the troublesome weight of gold. As you’ve rightly pointed out, the rest of the sector would benefit from such an arrangement.
That said, one would naturally wonder how you propose to execute such a deal without drawing the attention of others, particularly your colleagues. Hypothetically, if an exchange were to occur and be discovered, it could create significant complications for both sides.
With regards
Albert Schulze, Guildmaster
