A marvellous construction that is still in evolving process, that was a new beginning for Cryer.
Amelia always enjoys coming here. All the scientists roaming around the complex, she remembers why science is her one true passion but still not losing sight of her responsibilities.
She arrived from Syracuse to meet with the MFE transport of the drug called “Slug” , in the hopes that the research team also arrived along side of the cargo.
Amelia was overseeing the construction of the laboratory where this new drug will be tested, which for her surprise they would be able to use it sooner than expected.
She was preparing everything for the transport’s arrival, but then remembered to look at the time. The time agreed upon was almost there, and she found herself in her apartment. Amelia threw the first things she found in the closet on, a pair of jeans and a black shirt, put her shoes, and starts running towards the hangar.
Amelia then suddenly stopped and rapidly starts to check on her pad if she gave permissions to the transport to land. Since the security improvements, Amelia knew it would be at risk, but let out a sigh of relief when she saw the right permissions given. It must have slipped from her mind, after being in the laboratory 10-15 hours a day.
Amelia continued to run towards the hangar and she was hoping to make it in time.
When she saw the door to the hangar, she started to slow down and adjust her hair a bit, since after her sprint, they were very messy, and wanted to look as professional as she could be in the moment.
Arrived there, she opened the door, and thought they would already be here. But this time, for her fortune, she was mistaken, and arrived just in time for the last few touches before their land.

For once, it was an easy supply run to make. Most recently, if a ship was caught with Slog onboard, that ship would soon be scrap for the Junkers to collect but the convenience of getting out of public eye and being able to run it where most patrols weren't made it easy. As it was, he had heard nothing good about it. He even managed to get some extra for Med Force to research.
He had been to Planet Harris many times but this was the first time in awhile. It had grown a great deal. He saw the dock and commented, "Cryer, Liberty and Bretonia." He just rolled his eyes as it was no secret of his dislike of the the Crown and of the Liberty government. Cryer? Med Force had common goals and ideals so they would be ideal partners.
"You are cleared to dock," announced the loadmaster and Doc did just that. Once he was moored, he put on something a robe, grabbed his bag and headed for the door.
"Just as ordered, Sir," he said to the loadmaster, "a thousand units of Slog.
Amelia was getting impatient. The time of their arrival has passed by a few already, but they could not be seen.
She started to think they bailed on her, but while sorting some documents out, she notices a typo in the hangar's denomination. So she started talking with the hangar's staff, to realise she went to the wrong place.
She rushed to the correct hangar this time, where, to her surpirse, Dr. Holliday was awaiting. "Dr. Holliday. It's a pleasure seeing you, and welcome to Clisham Research Complex. I'm sorry I missed the arrival time, unfortunately my responsabilities required some attention." Amelia paused for a second. "I hope your journey proceeded with no issues."

He gave a snicker as she explained her tardiness. "No apology necessary, Miss Amelia. That has happened to me more times than I can count. The Taus? Always a place I do not mind travelling in now that the Gallics are not around that much anymore."
He motioned to the loadmaster who had begun off loading the slog. "As promised and as promised, only trust and respect are all the payment I seek. May I buy you a drink? I am parched myself. Perhaps we can discuss what is next."
"Thank you for supplying those samples,Dr. Holliday." Amelia took her pad to show John something. "We have prepared quarters for everyone that came with you. So feel free to reach them anytime you want. As for the drink, there is a table already awating for us in the business lounge." She then turned towards the exit. "After you, doctor."

He may have gone through the exit first but he walked with her side by side to the table that was awaiting them. He was in a good mood and had a light smile. They made small talk along the way before arriving at their table. Like the gentleman that he was, he seated her before seating himself.
"For the record, I came alone," he told her. "When I fly my trade ship, the time alone helps me think."
"Scotch, Please, over the rocks," he said to the waiter who asked what he wanted. Once her order was taken, he settled in for some business.
"So I did not know that Cryer operated this far out," he told her. "When and why did that happen?"
Amelia takes a sip her gin and tonic. “The choices of my predecessors is something I cannot explain either I’m afraid, Doctor. I have taken over the actual position not too long ago, so there are some blanks in regarding this type of information, even among ourselves.” She then stares for a moment on a point, almost spacing out of the conversation. “But I tend to believe that the loss of Atka necessitated a new beginning. Somewhere new I might add. While it’s still a work in progress and not yet there to fill the void crated by the destruction of one of our most important laboratories, we hope it even surpasses in the near future.” Amelia stopped to take a long sip from her drink. “Over the last few days I reviewed the proposal you made, I found myself with some doubts I wanted to share with you.” She looks at John slightly smiling. “You mentioned Omicron Theta, and a laboratory on board of your research facility. What would be the purpose of said laboratory?”

He had his hands atop each other on the table.
"I think if you read the old reports I sent to your predecessors, we proposed mutual cooperation in the research, creation and distribution of medicines," he explained. "Our groups have different approaches. We do not have the financial backing of a house government so I would like to think that you have more resources available. Mind you I am not gold digging but with the tensions between the Zoner people and the Liberty government and even Bretonia, it is not always easy to get what we need. We rely on whatever we can get. We have access to natural remedies from plants that we try to work."
He took a sip of his drink. "We are also beginning to work on creating an advanced med pack. It is but in the idea stages but it would be more than a first aid kit. It would have all that, some advanced survival rations and such. If we pooled our resources together on such a thing, we could both benefit from it. The travelling Freelancer, used aboard military ships or whoever. What do you think so far?"
“The idea of it could be interesting, however Doctor, we'd need something more concrete, at least before doing any sort of big move.” She realised her glass was empty, so she turned to the bar and made a sign with her hand to bring another drink. Without wasting any time, the barman made her gin tonic. When he placed the glass on the table, she thanked him and took a sip. “Do you have a design for this kit?”

"As I said, the design and content of such a kit is still being discussed. Until I get back to Theta, I will not have an update as we are keeping that information classified," he explained.
"I can tell you this about our base in Theta," he explained, " the laboratory is staffed with both scientists, resident academics and students. Besides regular studies on medication we are focusing on developing anti-radiation medication as well as medication that can improve the lives of those living in an oxygen deprived environment. Now mind you, not an environment depleted of oxygen, but a method to sustain those for a longer period in an environment with a less rich oxygenated atmosphere. A method which reduces the bodily need for rich oxygen for a longer moment as than current medication or methods can provide." A fresh round of drinks arrived.
"All in all, the academy is pursuing research where MFE finds the need for based on their target audience. Which, of course, are the people they are helping at this moment. Perhaps Cryer would like a chance to be a part of all this as there is something always going on at Med Force Enterprises."
"And if not Theta, we have the facility in Omega 3 if you feel safer there, that and the travel is not so far out."
