To: Representatives of All Zoner Confederations, Freeport Administrations, and Independent Councils From: Agent Saren Kephra, Field Operative – The Order (Omicron Recon, VEIL-7 Cell) Subject: Request for Intelligence: Unidentified Entity "Noth" Operating Near Zoner Holdings Date: 06/12/835 A.S.
Esteemed Zoner delegates,
This message is dispatched under secure diplomatic encryption and pertains to potential threats within and near your spheres of operation—specifically concerning recent investigations coordinated by The Order and elements of the Hessian paramilitary, Die Roten Front.
As per recent findings, a previously unknown paramilitary cell operating under the callsign "Noth Squadron" has been linked to anomalous engagements, sensor irregularities, and covert ship movements through Omicron and Omega corridors.
Of particular concern:
Freeport–proximal jump holes in Kappa, Omicron Delta and Theta show logged interference spikes matching the same quantum echo pattern observed during earlier Nomad incursions. While not conclusive, the data strongly implies that “Noth” may be a shell operation—either fronting for or manipulated by a hostile, possibly infected intelligence.
As your installations often serve as crossroads between House systems and fringe zones, your neutrality makes you potential targets—or inadvertent hosts—for sleeper cells.
We are reaching out with the following requests:
Surveillance Records – If any Freeport or Zoner vessel has detected unusual transponder IDs, crew inconsistencies, or unexplained docking requests from vessels matching “Noth” or resembling heavily modified Rheinland military craft, we ask for full disclosure.
Station Logs – Please review your long-range docking records and station approach traffic for the last 8 months for unexplained anomalies, false credentials, or unregistered cargo transfers.
Cautionary Protocols – We recommend temporary non-docking status for any ships tagged as “Noth” or unidentified Rheinland gunboats/freighters traveling in combat-ready groupings.
We do not seek to compromise Zoner neutrality—only to ensure the long-term security of your communities and the wider sector. Should any administration wish to coordinate discrete intel sharing, our node in Omicron Mu remains open for encrypted packet transmission.
In solidarity against deeper threats,
– Agent S. Kephra

Stars greet you, Agent Kephra.
I was surprised to see this forwarded to my inbox. It is not everyday, or really any day, one expects an agent of the esteemed protectors of humanity to share intelligence like this. It is refreshing to be proffered the agency of one's own security.
That being said, how certain are we of these 'irregularities'? Do we understand what these quantum echos and interference spikes truly are? I'm sure the Order has the means to interrogate such things, but what level of confidence should we approach this information?
My concern is, whilst Bethlehem remains threatened and Freeport Nine remains in Cretan hands, that chasing a bunch of mercenary misfits will prove a fruitless distraction. I am loathe to allow what little assets the Concord has to be diverted from these necessities. For Concord to pay it's attention to these 'Noth' pilots, do you have any concrete evidence?

Greetings, Agent Kephra,
I find your report interesting but lacking much. We have seen nothing of this Noth Squadron nor do we have any reports in regards to them. If we had encountered them, we might be having a different conversation.
One report does not tell me or anyone else very much. As a not only a physician but a researcher, I would want to know more about them and to make my own informed opinion. But, I will keep my eyes open and maybe I will have a chance encounter with one of these people. There are a lot more pressing issues in the Omicrons right now than a group of Mercenaries. Who knows, if they are good at what they do, perhaps I can hire them for security.
Until you have more information, color me unconcerned at this time.
Your reply is appreciated, as is your measured skepticism. I am well aware that trust is a currency not lightly spent in these regions of space—especially when extended from those who operate in the shadows.
You ask if our confidence in the Noth Squadron’s nature warrants your attention. A fair question. I will provide what I can, and leave the conclusion to your judgment.
On Quantum Echoes and Spikes:
What we have observed are not mere fluctuations—these are patterned anomalies, resembling harmonic distortions generated when Nomad constructs interfere with conventional scanning arrays. The same patterns were last catalogued in the late 820s around Omicron Minor, during the final years before the fall of Toledo. They were considered precursors—foreshocks, if you will—of deeper infiltration efforts.
Our analysts tracked echoes corresponding to unauthorized transit spikes along the Theta–Kappa corridor. The “Noth” call-sign was flagged repeatedly in correlation with these events, often within hours of reported sensor interference, including from a Zoner-flagged monitoring buoy in orbit around Planet Gammu. That relay has since gone dark.
On Tangibility:
Lieutenant Kunrad Amhrad of the 34th Hades Brigade—an organization not known for paranoia—has issued a direct hostile classification for Noth vessels. Additionally, Die Roten Front, the Hessian cell that initiated this inquiry, provided decoded transmissions matching known Wild signature interference. These were independently validated by our Omicron Command relays.
The vessels themselves are modern Rheinland hulls, but with internal heat and shield fluctuations indicative of hybridized tech. Not enough to confirm infestation—but enough to consider extreme caution.
On Priorities:
I understand that Freeport Nine’s occupation and Bethlehem’s encroachment are critical. But if this squadron is what we suspect, allowing them to drift through unmonitored space—especially near installations of Zoner origin—risks repeating past tragedies. Remember: sleeper cells don’t knock before the airlock opens.
We do not ask for your ships. Only for your eyes.
If Concord finds anything strange in your records—docking times that don’t align, sensor ghosts, voiceprint mismatches—send them. Quietly. Without fanfare.
If it turns out we are wrong… I’ll carry that weight.
Until then, caution is not a diversion. It’s prevention.

To: Dr. John Holliday – Med Force Enterprises From: Agent Saren Kephra – The Order, VEIL-7 Recon Subject: Re: Noth Squadron Inquiry Date: 06/13/835 A.S.
Dr. Holliday,
I’ll admit — what we have now isn’t enough to form a full picture. The report you saw was an initial probe, not a full intelligence file. We’ve traced anomalies, matched call-signs, and observed interference patterns, but we lack hard intercepts or recovered data cores. So far, much of what we know is fragmentary, laced with conjecture built atop recurring signals and sightings.
However, it is precisely because these actors have evaded open notice that they concern us. The worst threats don’t wave banners.
You’re correct: the Omicrons burn in many places. From the edge of Freeport 11 to the fringes of Nomad territory, crisis competes with crisis. But if the Noth squadron is what early signs suggest—Nomad-aligned, sleeper-bound, or something stranger—then catching their movements early may be our only chance to act before we’re reacting again to another “Toledo.”
I’m not asking you to sound the alarms. Just keep your instruments tuned. Should any of your long-range outposts—or vessels in orbit near Freeport facilities—catch burst signals or high-yield EM distortions with anomalous frequency gaps, please log and forward them to us.
If you do meet them face-to-face, I urge caution. Appearances have lied before in Sirius.
Until then, I thank you for your vigilance, and wish Med Force Enterprises continued clarity in the chaos.

None of facilities, mobile or otherwise, under my purview have reported any contact with such a group.
Paired quantum echo patterns does sound like an interesting way to communicate however, I'll pass it on to the labs on Freeport Thirteen and see if they can come up with anything.
To: Kashiwaba Tomoe – Administrator, Bethlehem Station From: Agent Saren Kephra – The Order, Recon Division Subject: Noth Squadron Echo Patterns Date: 06/14/835 A.S.
Administrator Tomoe,
Your response is appreciated, as is your willingness to forward the signal patterns to Freeport Thirteen’s research teams.
The quantum echo profile is... strange. It mimics conventional encrypted pulse bursts, but there’s underlying phase drift — irregular but repeating — something we've seen before in proximity to advanced Nomad substrates. Think of it less as a “language” and more as a biochemical rhythm carried over energy fields. Too precise for random interference. Too erratic for human engineering.
We don’t yet know whether these signals are a means of command, synchronization, or simply byproduct from whatever these ships carry within. But if Freeport Thirteen’s labs can isolate a waveform or at least confirm artificial origin, it will be a breakthrough. I can provide additional spectral logs if your scientists require them.
While your installations haven’t seen the Noth squadron yet, the scope of their presence may still be unfolding. Stay vigilant. Quiet actors tend to speak the loudest when it’s too late.
