Well me and some pals have talked about the Trading here in the new updatet mod.
And to be honestly it sucks.
now we figured out a way to keep the trading RP balanced.
We have some Trading fractions. Official fractions that is.
Now they follow rules reguarding IFF rep ID and ship and equiptment.

The suggestion is simple, When a trader that have all things ok and fly a
RP route will get a ekstra 20-35 % profit.

That will as it is now not make the honest trader uber rich, but will
make for alot more RP trading and more fun ingame.
We will se 2-5 trader joining and flying together tru pirate space, pirates will have to work for a living,
Both sides will have more fun RP and fun time on the server,
I am pretty sure it can be co-operatet in to a further update.

Note its just a suggestion so no flaming here.

I am not a native English Speaker, so i make grammar errors.
But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!

I like the idea of increasing profits for in-RP routes, however, I don't see how increasing profit will make traders work together:mellow:

Good idea, but think.

1. Where does this 20%-35% come from?

2. How will players claim, and prove with each rp route.

I like the idea, needs some work though, keep it up.

1. Maybe some fiddling with FL-hook will do.

2. ID's, ships and tags, just like mining.

Giving the different corps different bonuses on goods would really be good. Despite the 'push' for corp IDs and such, you mostly still get independent traders, the dirty, dirty zoner traders, or just the nonsense traders flying bretonian trains with kishiro IDs and Kruger IFF.

I'm guessing this would work much like the mining does now.

With ID + IFF + correct cargo = increase in sale price.

Would mean more corporate traders as corp IDs could give bigger bonuses.

Well you as a trader get a incresed profit. you want to protect that and best way to proect is tru numbers.
Ofcourse the pirates also know that. so you have to gather a hand full of traders hire some escorts. end line is a bit more profit more players working together alot more RP and great fun on the server.

Also make trading more fun and prifitable for a single player that are following fraction IFF ID and ship line.

Its like honour the trader like the miners are honoured right now.

Come to think of it, this method would only ensure that people fly the right routes, it doesn't guarantee that they will role play along the way, there'd still be mute traders.

like miners

no rp in a miner i can make a miner sit in one area and RP to be a AI ship you cant do that when flying from system to system :nono:
