Pilot bug?

I noticed today that Pilots no longer drop from hostile ships? (BHG ships is what i tested on) \\ edit --- it seems they still drop just at a reduced rate?
I looked for the .87 change log but couldn't find it so i am assuming it might be a bug?

They drop all cargo they carry, scan them. No cargo means no dropped pilots.

If they do, you are probably accidentally destroying them with explosives.


EDIT: Also this is 4.85, beta 7, not 4.87.

noticed this in Omicron Delta the other night as well, right after the update. Mind you, it was only Corsair pilots, at about a ratio of 1 every four ships, nomad pilots were dropping for each ship destroyed.

They only drop pilots if you killed them. AKA you did the most damage to them. If NPC allies did most of the work, the enemy ships don't drop any loot.

The exception is nomad ships. They always drop nomads.
