Quote: I am having a similar problem to the one above. I have not been banned as far as I can tell, I can still log onto my account using Account manager and a different computer. On my primary gaming rig, however, I can see no servers.
I have tried applying the solution posted above to both my freelancer shortcut and my DSUpdate shortcut, to no avail. Freelancer Weblaunch has also failed me. Can anyone think of anything else I can do?
EDIT: Saw the Discovery USA server for just a second, then it went poof again. Still no sign of the main disco server. Yay progress? sad.gif
EDIT2: Tried manually re-installing Beta 7. Saw the USA server again, but it disappeared when I hit Refresh. Still no sign of the main disco server.
EDIT3: I just completely re-installed Freelancer, Beta 4 and Beta 7. Nothing, nada, zilch. Moving this to a new thread for increased attention.
Please help me out here guys, I'm at my wit's end!
EDIT: I am running the widescreen variation described here:http://www.tekagis.com/index.php?showtopic=5870
Could this have any bearing at all on my problem?
EDIT2: HALLELUJA! OK, it seems if I leave freelancer running long enough (10+ minutes) the servers will appear. This is still really annoying, can anyone think of what would be causing it? Thanks!
EDIT3: Sunuva... can't log on anymore, see below.

The problem has gotten much worse over the last couple of days, now even though I can see the servers after 5-10 minutes, I still cannot connect to them. I hit the connect button, wait ANOTHER 5 minutes, then I get the 'you cannot connect to this server, blah blah blah' message. And THEN, after I hit OK, the game freezes up for ANOTHER 5 minutes. So it's taking me 15-20 minutes per attempt to connect.
Ping seems to be normal from the outside, seems to average around 150 for the main server, 80 for the US server

deinstall any anti-virus programs or firewalls you installed since the last successful connection
don't forget to delete all their last traces from the regedit
Attempt to connect with deactivated windows firewall
Check if your Router or Firewall config has changed since the last successful attempt
run as admin in case of vista
run in win2k comp in case of vista
Install winXP instead of vista

Firewall hasn't, pretty sure the router hasn't either
