Hi there! I'm new to Discovery, and Freelancer in general, and only started playing online a few nights ago. So far, I'm really enjoying it, much more than I thought, which had led to me deciding to try to pursue a long-term time invenstment in Discovery. I've found the people I've interacted with to be quite friendly, and I'm really liking Discovery itself (I'll absolutely adore it when I finally find Galactica), and I'd really like to commend everyone who has worked on it! Job very well done!

As for myself, my real name is Joshua Cox. I live in the world's most isolated Capital, Perth (in Western Australia) and, as such, am subject to made internet. I thoroughly enjoy video games, and consider myself to be a fairly good RPer (but am held in higher regards by lots of people I've RPed with). I'm only turning 14 in a few months, but my career ambition is to become an Aerospace Engineer working at NASA, specifically the Langley Research Division.

So to all people here, I say:
Hello there!

Welcome.

As an Australian you get free membership to ANZLAG, courtesy of the lovely distance between our country and the server. Also, get Skype so we can add you to the chat.

Apart from that, join a faction and do not buy a capital ship and people will show you love. (Although, the way things are going you might want to buy that capital sooner rather than later.)

If you have any questions feel free to PM me, perhaps even tazuras, I have heard he is nice, and one of us, along with various others, should be able to sort you out.

Now, get back in-game.

(No need to tell you about the rules, others will tend to that.)

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Greetings fellow member of the ANZLAG :)! Im from the capital of New Zealand. Glad to hear some new people are joining the community. If you have a good understanding of RP, you tend not to break any rules because your RPing a char the whole time.
Good luck to you piolet.

Wonderful intro. Mind the rules of course, sure you do.

Also I happen to run a help channel. Even if you do not need help it is a greet way to meet people in the community and network. Most of the community uses skype anyway. If you are interested there is a link in my sig.

Join the LPI, we're friendly for the most part and could always use another Australian Liberator:)

Don't take this link seriously, but definitely look at this.

Tell me something, would joining your group (as I'm considering doing) prohibit me from flying a Viper Mark II?

Yes it would. When you join the LPI, you get put into a Patriot light fighter (class 3 guns; the really weak one) to make sure you can RP the part. It's relatively easy to get promoted to the Liberator light fighter, which, IMHO, is the third or fourth best Light Fighter in the game (behind both Nomad ones, which are beasts, and maybe behind the Loki which can mount a torp).

After a second promotion, you can fly an Eagle. Or you could join SWAT and get a bomber.
