Lagging!

Just recently all of a sudden I have been constantly lagging:angry: Is it something to do with the server or just me?? Its really annoying when I try to play the game. It use to work fine. Someone please help:(

i get a bit more lag than usual but i dont think its server related. you should have a look/talk at/with your ISP or your connection. Make sure you have a nice installation of the game and a good OS to run it on. sometimes can affect the connection and ping as well.

I just logged off, and i had hardly no lagg and my ping was lower than normal, so maby it is on your end.

I have a similar problem , twiche lately, it is not my connection, it is perfect, and i can ping the server at 19ms, but ingame i got 549ms, red lag over minutes, but no kick or something.
No idea whats causing it.

It could be a corrupt character. I recall somebody else that had a similar issue a long time ago. Fixed it by deleting the character (after trying a million other things)
Create a new account and a new character in the account. See if you still get the lag problem.

so far i have seen it on 2 charakters, deleating them would be rather expensive, and timeconsuming, given the repfixing.

are there any indicators, the charakters are beyond hope, aside from "could be" or "might work"

Could the lag be caused by the new built-in GLS workaround? I remember from a while back reading that the GLS workaround mod (the seperate one listing every server, not the built-in one with 4.85) could cause lag problems. I also noticed that when I deactivated it I experienced far less lag problems while online.

I'm getting lag too but only on some situations such as piracy.

When I make it quick (2Mordai thing), it works fine but when the trader get into RP, it's over, I get lag and he can run away even before I could see it (like a teleportation to other systems from my side)

I really hate it and it happened twice today.

I'll take it you're OPG-Grimly. I'm White_Star... my friend and I also lagged, terribly. Seems the server is down, this time. However, yesterday, while I was in a fight with a XA in NY, we had a very big lag, and ping issues. pingtarget showed him about 600, and I can't even imagine what it showed me at.

Anyways, can anyone tell me how to remove the workaround thing the 4.85 final does to my FL?
I liked Direct Connect.. 100 times faster..
