I haven't tried the latest version of this mod. Do the npcs
still recharge shields and use nanobots? Or have they been toned down a little? I don't want to offend anyone, but as a casual gamer I found it very frustrating. Thanks
THey still use 'em, but I haven't had much expereince fighting the NPCs in the new version except for low-level ones in Manhattan, and those use them just as much as ever.
They still use regens one at a time, making it infuriatingly hard to get past their shields...and the higher level ones now mount shieldbusters, just to cause even more trouble...
i Believe its a good thing where the NPC play a part as well when the server count is lower they can be useful. when there are many players on they dont spawn that often making it reasonably fair and in RP i think.
I can do missions in Omicron Alpha in a Scimitar (light fighter). It's faster (and, in my opinion, easier) than in 4.84, but if I screw up, I really get hit hard.
Missions in Alpha are easy, Hammerheads aren't much of a problem. Dessies are a problem when they sneak into the high 200k missions..
Anyway, my biggest problem is with the low level crappy NPC's spamming regens so fast that their hull and shield are back to full if you stop firing for a second.
I thought it was already agreed that reducing the NPC regens helped with this tiresome crap especially when trying to get Guard rep in a reasonable time and also the 'bot farming' issue that has been brought up.
Oh, and there's the Nomad NPC's with their twelve cruise disruptors each. Let's just say that supplying Dabadoru is virtually impossible without a good ol' Cattlebruiser escort. But of course, these are Hunters we're talking about, so there's probably one available at all times anyway.
Oh, and don't piss off the Liberty Cap spawns. They hit harder than a pair of player Carriers, and rival the Gallic Battleship bases.
