The argument at Ailes de Chagrin hangar had been raging for over an hour now, one side burning with anger and spiced with invective, the other displaying an icy, barely contained rage.
"I can barely believe my ears! I spend half my time defending our name from Marquis fags who think they have a right to shut us up when clearly we are the dominant force in Gallia, and you would have us-"
"I would remind you, once more, that these are our allies you refer-"
"Pah! 'Allies' my arse! With allies like them, who needs enemies? Those faggo-"
"Maybe if you refrained from insulting them to their face they would be more friendly!"
"And maybe YOU would rather roll over and die than display a little backbone, you coward!"
The owner of the icy voice got to his feet. "That's it. Deal me out. I've had it with you thinking I'm a weakling just because I would rather deal in words instead of weapons fire."
The owner of the firey voice spat. "Fine with me. Get out of my sight you weakling."
And Lieutenant Asterix strode out of Capitane Diablo's office, never to return... smiling as he fingered the miniature sound recorder in his pocket. He wondered what the Brigands would make of Diablo's invective... or the Maquis, for that matter.

Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Verdun Base, Lorraine

"What? Shocking news."
"Indeed it is, Monsieur Salois"
"Well, well...It seems I did more then I actually thought I would have done."

There was a light laughter amongst the bar.

"Well. I do believe it's our time to open diplomatic channels with these...new...Brigands. Hopefully give them sanction among our bases while they push out the remaining Les Vampirs pilots. I can sense a civil war between these two groups. If this becomes the case we'll need to act."

"Act in whose favor?"
"The Confrerie du Renard's of course."
"And here I thought you would have said 'ours'."

He laughed lightly. "Oh you know me to well. I shall see to it that we meet these newcomers with open arms."
