"We caught up wih the new group recently confirmed as new Sirius wide Vigilante's, and were lucky enough to view a small conference speech held by them. The leader, Codenamed: The Punisher said this:"
"From birth, my life was ravaged by drugs, violence, and murder. Numerous times, I watched my best friends have guns put to their heads, from vigorous pirates demanding their hard earned credits. Numerous times, I saw the trigger pulled, because the friends couldn't pay. Numerous times, I was beaten, and nearly killed when my parents lost control of themselves and relentlessly beat me. She was raped, producing me, when my Biological Father took her away from a bar in the outskirts of Texas, then taking off. She later married the same type of scumbag that gave me to her in the first place. That's my life for 15 years. I ran away, and lived life as an independent. My mother became a cardimine addict, but I didn't care, that was her choice. Most of the people who knew me thought i was dead, or at least would never see me again. I lived from freeport to bloody freeport, just trying to survive. I met up an independent trader, who helped me get on my feet, and start supplying myself. He showed me a new kind of system of government and policing, one that did not rely on the military or police to protect you. It was the life of a vigilante. Protection of civilians by civilians. Normal people taking on a role considered to some as heroic, and to others, criminal."
The statement was taken from a much longer speech made on Freeport 2. Further examination of the GOS has suggested that their members are all under hidden identity, with no personal contact with the outside world. They are in question for being responsible for the number of unclaimed pirates and unlawfuls brought in to house police, many alive, some dead. The members clearly follow the phrase "a lesser of two evils." as some instances of their doing has shown high damages to military, police, and civilian ships and equipment, with very few civilian casualties. Despite some casualties of those they protect, the GOS has proven to be substantially effective towards pirates, terrorists, and smugglers. It has also been stated that they do not directly work with any other factions, and are only seen fighting with them when both sides have a common enemy.

The Guardians Over Sirius, Or GOS, have yet again, won the battle for peace. Earlier today, a large group of high level slavers were stopped by members of the GOS. while we couldn't get a direct interview with the members, we did get a response when questioning them about their damage costs and small casualties.
"Casualties are always a concern. Only once have we ended innocent lives. The lesser of two evils was met, as many terrorists and nuclear grade weapons were destroyed along with the 3 civilians. It wasn't intentional to have the 3 civilians killed, it never was. Had we known they would have, different action would have been made before the decision to fire on the ship. We will do everything in our power to protect everyone, but if that cannot happen, then we will do what is best.We are not law, we do not live by it. Our methods are strictly for peace and safety. If someone's ship has to be dented to stop a holocaust, so be it. Our actions are only to benefit the people.

Vigilante's have made a small mark in todays world full of freelancers and mercenaries. Vigilante's work for no money, serve "above the law," but their actions towards unlawfuls are similar to the of the Bounty Hunters Guild.
One group, known as the "Guardians Over Sirius," started in 817A.S., just a few months ago, have been a major source of Vigilante influence around Sirius. The group is a type of freelanced "covert operations" group, that works underground. All of the members are untracable, no real names accessible, and all of them without contact in the real world. They supply themselves through freelancers, IMG, and sometimes the BHG and Zoners. The use of Freelancers and non house corperations has enabled them to be as undercover as they are.
The GOS are often considered as a quasi legal, and sometimes an unlawful group by military, as they are percieved as being above the law. They do hunt pirates and terrorists with positive results, but not without endangerment to others and damage to property. Despite this, the Guardians claim that they are entirely lawful, only doing what they do for the good of the people.
The group has had very little to do with drug trade, but smuggling and imprisonment of slaves is frowned upon by the group, because it violates the GOS idea of human rights. "So long as you are not forced, you are free." This also causes them to deal with pirates and terrorists, endangering lives and taking what's not theirs by force.
GOS area of operation consists all around sirius space, mostly the house corperation influenced areas. They avoid the Omicrons and Omegas, as these are unlawful primary areas. Since the GOS is a protection group, they don't stage attacks on those inside of those spaces, since they do not pose a direct threat to the Sirius people.

Close search Punisher then grabs his voice recorder, and begins relaying a message to leave for a man, interested in joining the cause.
BEGIN 1500, 7/6 817 A.S. You are hearing this because you have been willfully chosen by the head of GOS to be initiated in the recruitment process of our group. Our cause is just, and all requirements must be met to ensure that our cause is kept that way.
The first process that must happen before initiation is contact to others. Any personal relationships and house business relationships must be completely removed. No one must be able to find you, no one must know who you are when you are with us. Before initiation, remove you're forms of communication and tracking. Your current form of flight will be removed, sold off or destroyed if necessary. Mobile comms, everything, will be gone.
All identification will be removed from your person. Forget your name, forget where you're from, it doesn't matter anymore.
You will not return to your home, if you have one. After you have become recruited into the system, you may no longer go here. Take anything you may want or need from your home, but make sure it does not make you recognizable to anyone else.
Further instructions will be left under bar table 7 in the barrier gate station. It will be there tomorrow, during "happy hour." End recording

ID's: Vigilante Tag: [GOS] ZOI: Currently not limited to anywhere, except no omicrons or omegas under any circumstances. These are areas of heavy unlawful population, we do not attack, we defend. so far we don't see a reason in having a single house for a ZOI, or something to that extent. Allowed Gear: Civilian ships marked on the Vigilante ID only, Guns are IMG, Zoner, Civ, BHG, Codename only.
RP: The members are completely underground, no one knows them, no one can find out who they are. Think of the Weather Undergound group(s) of the 60s in a way, how they were completely detached from family, friends, work, to join their cause. Using codenames for the ships, we have used Comic Book Vigilante's with some success. We don't escort for trade, we don't get payed for our jobs, we just go out and protect the innocent, whether it be preventive (stop before) or directly (protect during). We deal with pirates, terrorists, and slaving. Nomads and alien forces are more to be dealt by Military we believe, and don't involve ourselves with them unless they pose a threat to those we protect.
WE ARE NOT A KILL ON SIGHT PIRATES/UNLAWFULS GROUP. We will probably have our own engage on sight list, but our ideals are not to destroy unless necessary. We will have slavers drop contraband, ask pirates to remove themselves from lawful occupied space, or arrest as RP allows, but we will not engage on sight unless self defence, defence of another (who is in RP to be defended), or if the unlawfuls do not comply to the above terms. Meaning: If there isn't a civilian or trader or anyone that is being threatened by the pirate/terrorist, we do not force anything upon them. In the event that someone is "wanted" they can be arrested, or engaged.
We act like we are in a way saving the world, in spite that we aren't always liked. we are proud, and like to openly think of ourselves as a divine protector, not just a man off the street stopping a pickpocket. we never talk about who we are, where we're from, 100% secretive.

sorry that was a bump. i dont really care about my post count. as you may have noticed with the time i have been with the forum and my post count.
but that is beside the point. i really do think it is a cool idea. i havent seen a vigilante played with any amount of commitment. if this idea gets rolling it may be one of the bigger groups in sirus. it just needs some support is all. I am already a pilot for him. the names Dare_Devil. i will be posting my personal RP for my char at a later date gotta work out the kinks in it to make it RP able in the Sirus universe.
