I had an idea for a Synth Foods station. As you know, they don't have one. Not at all! Not even to sell their own ID.
As you also know, Synth Foods manufactures certain biodomes that produce their food for more remote stations, such as the Freeport in Bering, and I think the one in Theta has theirs, too. But where can they build them? Building them planetside wouldn't work so well, as they're quite big!
Thus the suggestion: a biodome building station. A place where they can assemble those for shipments later. Maybe they wouldn't put them all together, but they'd do a lot of the assembly for assembly on site. Plus they could sell their ID and have missions and npcs and all that fun stuff.
As for location, putting it northwest of Planet Stuttgart in the big gap, near where the Saar jumphole used to be. That would allow it to be near one of their major production areas, as well as letting them export them to the farther out places. If it was near LA, they would need to ship a longer distance.
The best would be if it could look somewhat like the shape of Pueblo Bonito, with a couple partially built domes, none of those towers, and a giant crane on top.
Anyway, I agree. Synth having no bases is sad, but it's hard to think of a good idea for them, since basically none make sense. Except this one! As I've said over 9000 times, corps in general have received a lack of love in disco stuff, and none moreso than synth. Also, Stuttgart has very little stuff in it for a huge system, and it could definitely swallow another base. Plus it would promote LWB/Synth interactings.
I dun like the placement idea, but, is a good idea. Neat idea on the purpose of the station.
I would rather see it somewhere on the main roads, so to speak (on the Trade Lane), than off the beaten path. Maybe across from Freiburg? Or, we could add lanes, but, that would be rather hassle-ish-ey, 'eh?
Anyway, thumbs up overall wherever it goes from Farmer nummer eins.

That is a good point. Maybe something like this, with lanes? Or possibly have the half-constructed lanes there?
Haha, aside from that, I think building it in Kyushu would make more sense, since they're Libertonian. Libertonian companies building in Rheinland? I doubt it.

I'm not sure they could convince Kusari on that, being Samura is hiring goons to help take care of them. While the Liberty/Rheinland situation is problematic now, perhaps it could be retconned that it was actually built in 805AS or thereabouts?
And while at present Rheinland wouldn't be happy at all with them politically, the food production and taxes from such endeavors would be noticeable. Plus Synth Foods all but runs the higher-ups in the WVS on top of their majority ownership on Planet Stuttgart, that has to help with licensing, especially if it was 10 years ago.
Synth foods is a liberty company, if it's going to have one station shouldn't it be in liberty? If it was in kusari or rheinland something tells me the the local government would conveniently let the local anti-synth factions blow your station up.
In the end, synth foods is a capitalist monopoly, it truly does belong in liberty in my opinion.
