Biography
Jacob Miles Enfield was born to Isaac and Madison Enfield on Manhattan in the year 793AS. His father was at that point an ensign on board the Liberty Cruiser LNS Wake Island, while his mother was a nurse on West Point. Being no place to raise a child, she transferred to Manhattan General Hospital. Jacobs twin siblings, Sarah and James, were born 5 years later. Throughout his childhood, Jacob was fascinated with space
In 800AS, with the Nomads infiltrating the command structure of most of the Sirius Governments, the captain of the Wake Island was infested with a Nomad while investigating an explosion near the Zone 21 minefield. Lieutenant Enfield, noticing the changes in his fellow crew, conspired with the few remaining uninfected crewmembers to plow the ship straight into the minefield, destroying it. The ship was officially listed as being lost with all hands in an accidental fusion reactor overload.
Following his fathers untimely (and heroic) demise, Jacob spent a lot of time peering into space and thinking about his future there. He took any chance he got to meet with the spacers who frequented the local spaceport. By the age of 16, he was fully capable of piloting simple craft. At 18, he joined the crew of the Universal Shipping Freighter Grand Teton on the trade route between Colorado and Tau 23. The route was relatively safe, and the pay was good. Then one day the captain of the freighter decided to risk a shorter route by using a jump hole in the Kyushu system.
As soon as the ship was clear of the jump hole, it was apprehended by a group of outcast ships. Despite the crews best efforts, the transports engines were knocked out, and on the verge of being boarded, the captain blew the ships reactors. Jacob only survived by stowing away in a cargo pod. Seeing no items of value within the pod, the outcasts ignored it, and he was picked up by a patrol vessel sent to investigate the ships lateness.
Jacob spent the next three months in a recovery ward on the luxury liner Shetland. Both his legs were broken, most of his ribs were cracked, and he had suffered a minor concussion, but apart from that he was fine. As soon as his injuries were under control, he caught the first available shuttle back to Liberty space. Buying a Mammoth transport using the insurance payout from Universal Shipping and naming it the Opportunity, he hired a crew, and set out into the sector.
Personality
Jacob Enfield is a well-spoken young man, who values his family above all else. He regularly stops by at West Point to see his twin siblings, and will often make regular stopovers on Denver to visit his mother. He also has a sarcastic sense of humour, and will refuse to leave port without at least half a ton of vanilla ice cream for his own consumption.
Previous Ship
The Opportunity: A Mammoth Long Range Transport, written off following a run-in with Nomad assassins in the Palau Nebula.
Current Ship
The Slipstream: A DL-series Border Worlds Transport, outfitted for excursions deep within Omega and Edge space.

Biography
Abigail Knight was born to millionaire businessman David Knight and his wife Lily on Los Angeles in 294AS. Abby, as she prefered to be called, never quite felt the rich life was for her, and at the age of 17 stowed away on the freighter Grand Teton, where she first met Jacob Enfield. Rather then rating her out, Jacob helped her make her way to New York, where she lived for the next two years.
Studying ship operations and navigation, Abby quickly became adept at charting courses for the numerous ships that stopped at Manhatten. In 815AS, she was contacted by Jacob, who was looking for a navigator for his new ship. She happily accepted, and has been Enfield's navigator ever since.
Personality
Abby seems sweet on the surface, but gets rather fired up when she is annoyed, often threatening to throw her unfortunate victim out the nearest airlock. That said, she does care deeply for the others on the crew, and would protect them with her life if neccesary.

Biography
Born the fourth of 6 children, Scott Callahan inherited his fathers apitude for all things mechanical, and by the age of 14 was fully capable of transforming the most unspaceworthy hulk into an acceptable vessel. At 17, he had saved up enough to travel to Manhatten to have a chance at a better life.
It was while fixing the Grand Teton that Scott first met Jacob Enfield, and the two became firm friends. When Jacob aqcquired his own ship, Scott eagerly accepted a position as chief engineer. Since then, he has kept the vessels the crew uses in more or less working condition through their voyages.
Personality
Scott knows technology like the back of his hand, and his room on the ship is cluttered with all manner of devices and machines that he takes apart and reassembles in his leisure time. However, he gets quite agitated whenever the ship gets damaged, and has been driven to the brink of a nervous breakdown on more then one occasion should the vessel sustain extensive damage.
