' Wrote:Nice costume! I can't tell if Stu is about to fall over, desperate for a leak, or trying to look hard! That make-up must take an age to put on though.
The Beastmen make-up takes about 5 minutes to do - it takes about 5 hours to take off. Duncan's (as is Slough Uath) takes about an hour to put on as he pastes kiddie glue all over himself & then we spray it black. The glue contracts & cracks creating a rotting effect that looks great in campfire light. The real time is in working with the material. Must be about 50 patches of fur sowed onto the costume so it might have taken me 150 hours (& its still not finished)
The roleplay is non-stop, really intense and we have thwarted (or our contacts have) 4 assassination attempts. The plan is for Jez & Liz to join us at the next event which will really enhance our presence in the Fir Cruthen and other Beast Clans. I'm sure we will all die gloriously one day & we'll probably deserve it, but right now we're having a real fun mixing it up and ruffling presumed wisdoms!
We play that our characters are controlled by Slough Uath, so Stu said he was trying to look like a captive spirit & not someone more interested in clearing his bladder of excess wine. In fairnes he wasn't feeling well - old age catching up with him.
I'm glad I went back to the hobby, would be great if you would too!
' Wrote:Now, why is there a fellow behind you who appears to be laughing?
I beat him in the sparring round, so he chose to mock my kata.
To satisfy my honour, afterwards I challenged him to mortal combat, and gave my soul to the Dragon Lord in exchange for powers which allowed me to vapourize my opponent's mind with a single touch.
Afterwards, soulless, and consumed by darkness, I went to a remote village to slake my thirst for blood, but was defeated and driven away by a character played by Jackie Chan.
