I've been thinking about the forums quite a bit lately. I found them to have a couple of problems - there are a lot of redundant forums and subforums, there is a lot of outdated information, and the structure is quite messy as well. Also, the RP section of the forums looks really small compared to the others and is easily overlooked. So, I have two proposals which I'd like to put up for debate:

A) Archive all current threads and start anew.
Don't delete anything, just archive it. The forums are cluttered with tons of useless and outdated threads. Let's start anew and keep them clean(er) this times.

B) Change the forum structure.
As already mentioned above, I don't quite like the current structure - but I would never complain without also suggesting how it could, in my opinion, be done better:

:: Discovery HQ ::
>News and Announcements
>Site & Board Feedback
>Discovery Freelancer Rules (also serves as a discussion platform)
>>Violation Reports
>>Player Sanctions
>>Special RP Characters

:: Roleplaying Section ::
>Factions
>>Faction Creation Requests
>>Faction Recruitment
>>Faction Feedback
>>Message Dumps
>Character Biographies
>Stories
>Diplomatic Matters
>Watering Holes
>Employment Office
>The Sirius Stock Exchange

:: Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7 ::
>Discovery General Discussion
>Discovery Modding (also serves as a discussion platform)
>>Tutorials
>>Balance
>>Bugs
>>Submissions

:: The Community ::
>Welcome!
>General Discussion
>>Software & Hardware
>>Gaming
>>Birthday Threads
>Media Center
>Flood
>>Spambots
>>Other Discovery Servers (maybe, don't know - do you actually look at this forum?)
> Cyrodil forums link (again, maybe)

Vote and discuss.

There should be a story feedback forum in your suggestion as well, would help conserve on the amount of posts spread across the forum. Also, flood doesn't need any more sub-forums. That place already has enough usless spam.

Over all though, your suggestion doesn't seem too bad, and isn't even really that far off what the current layout is. Lets see where this poll goes.

You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark.

I like where you're going but I definetly think the developer section needs to be expanded and refind. Currently its pretty messy.

You mean, specialized discussion forums? Care to make a few suggestions?
