Multiple forum accounts

Dear Discovery, dear Korrd, dear other admins

Before saying what I want to ask, let me first say that I love all of you.

You may have noticed that some of us like to have several forum accounts. This is mainly because having them improves RP.

Also, it allows one to state ones true constructive opinion on how to improve discovery and stuff, without have ing to worry about how this will go down on the faction who you jsut joined and you dont want to harm by stating your opinion.

I tried to make another account for my very importnat RP characters, but the account was gone before the registration finished with being allowed to post.

I know that with a huge site as disc forum has become, its not easy to change the software and stuff.
But in rp strings epsecially, maybe improvements cna be made to post as different people?

Most of us have more than one forum account, you just need to set up different emails for each one.

I know, but its annoying.
And sometimes they get deleted after the confirmation, in the limbo where you can edit your sig and avatar but cant post yet.
If u tolerate several accounts anyways, why go thorugh the necessity to make an extra email adress?
I have... 6 acounts I think. Jut saying it would be easier and would save work for admins to be more liberla about it.

Or, make posting anonymously as different people possible.
All depends on if its practical, of course, since you gotta go with what exists as software

I personally don't mind having more than one, I've never seen a reason not to. I just don't like the hassle of using more than two e-mails.

There is nothing prohibiting more then 1 forum account. Sometimes it happens that the forum software nabs ya as a spambot but you aren't. Just re-create it.

Oh, and on a slightly off-topic note, I dislike people who post stuff under alt accounts to avoid being associated with said post. If you don't have the courage to stand for it, don't post it.

I was once asked to rig polls because of the sheer number. Now I just use one to avoid any confusion.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

2 reasons to take more than 1:
1:RP posts are better when you dont see the sigs and avatars of other characters that have nothing to do with the character you are posting as
2: The 'anonymous' posts arent only about oneself... When you're in a faction, some things you say may be associated w?th your faction or other people in your faction, when they shouldnt be.

In the form where you fill out registration details, it is checked if your email is already associated with another player. I dont see any reason that should be done, apart from prohibiting multiple accounts.

It also happened a few times when I registered that I was in the waiting queu for admin confirmatiom, and the new account got deleted before I could post.

Just try again. It should be fine. I don't think it's happening deliberately.
If it is, keep doing it and I'm sure someone will get in contact with you eventually.
