I wonder if anyone here watches such things. Not long ago I became interested in TV sci-fi, mainly because a friend of mine lended me Babylon 5. Earlier I thought that all those series are just plain stupid, however after B5 my opinion has changed. Now they are the only things I watch on TV (except news and occasional movies).
Unfortunately right now there isn't much choice, only Enterprize...
"My culture is no better than anybody else's culture. My people were no better than anybody else. And yet I will not accept it as a second-class culture. It's my culture. It's the best culture for me. Now, I would expect, if you have a different culture, that you would feel the same about yours as I feel about mine."
Is Andromeda worth watching? They've recently started to broadcast it here, right from the first season (though I'm not sure they bought it until 2004-2005, because they didn't show 4th season of Enterprize).
Well, there's a couple of sci-fi programs I like, unfortunately, it seems most of these are now off the air here. :(
I like Enterpise and Andromeda (both of which just had their series finalles, by the way *shakes fist at the TV gods*) Oh well, at least they're both in reruns here...
Another serises I like is called Starhunter. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of that serises. I think it possibly made in the UK, or at least used a lot of brittish actors. It was more of a 'hard' sci-fi. In fact the entire series was almost totally contained within the Solar System..
Firefly, that was good, I can honstly say it's the best sci-fi/western I've ever seen, nevermind the fact that it's the only sci-fi/western that I've ever seen. :D
Also, I really, really like Red Dwarf, it's a general parody of the entire science fiction genre. It's humor is very brittsh, but it translates pretty well. Besides, where else do you think you're going to find a Despair Squid? Pannama? Well...you can forget about that, buddy!

"I must admit it takes balls to pull something like that on lil' old me"
"Heh... well, I..."
"No, I'm serious. Try that again and I will take your balls"

When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.
The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

That really depends on the kind of Sci-fi you like. It's not nearly as... dark/serious as B5. It's more along the lines of Enterprise(by comparison to B5's "feel"), although it's much better In My Humble Opinion.
I'd go into more detail about the show, but when you get right down to it, you won't know if it's worth watching till you actually watch it. ;)

Yes, Andromeda's fine. Writing is definitely better than Enterprize, even though budget of Enterprize was bigger special effects in A look more professional, or so it seems to me.
And Trance is really cute ;) though I didn't like the way how they turned her into some kind of powerful supernatural being in the beginning of Season II (in an episode with William B. Davis who reminded me of Mulder and alien stuff) instead of just leaving her a nice and mysterious purple girl.
