Now, i've noticed certain people, such as the LSF, use small images to represent their characters in forum posts.
I rather liked the idea and was wondering where you found your images and scaled them down to a friendly size so that I might do the same for mine.
Anyone?

When I think up a new character to create, I usually have a fair idea of what that character should look and act like.
Going on that, I search the web for a suitable image. For well over a year I used the image of Doctor Aki Ross from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within for my Order character, Aki Kimura. I still use the image of Jim Raynor from Starcraft for my Junker, Tenacity. I've used various images for other characters over time, but most have been deleted by now.
Basically, in order to supplement my RP posts with imagery, I try to find a character from either a movie or game which is fairly expansive. This usually means that I can find a ton of pictures of that same character in different environments, poses, etc. to use in my posts or signatures/avatars. For example, I have something like 20-40 different images of Aki Ross that I can and did use in everything from signatures to RP posts to RP transmissions to add imagery to the text.

Screenshot something ingame and use those. Can get lots of poses/faces from talking to people in bars etc.
Make a picture based on your RP idea. i.e. grab a picture of an unknown person. Photoshop it up until your happy with the result.
Thats always possible.
On an unrelated note are there any specific "sizes" for the ships and that I can work from as I plan to use 3dsMax to do floorplans for my characters vessels. (Except the Firefly.)

For sizes, just look at any windows on the ship, and imagine they are the height of an average person (or near enough), thats how i imagine the sizes of larger vessals (ones without a little man in the cockpit).
