Order Spies

of course altered a bit, as follows....

Plain and simple, there would be pilots using an Order ID within each house (liberty, rheinland, kusari, and bretonia, with a very slight possibility of gallia, but that's being left out for now) who use a house military or police ship (banshee/wraith for rheinland, wyrm/chimaera for kusari, liberator/avenger? for liberty, and the bretonia LF and VHF, which I cant currently name...). These characters would use a tag corresponding to the ship they have, so if they're using a liberator, the character would have an LPI tag, or if he's in a Chimaera, the character would have a KNF tag.

Weapons used would be those of the faction their ship and tag belong to. A rheinland operative would use rheinland weapons, for example.

The idea is that these pilots would be working for/employed by these respective navies/militaries/police forces, but would double as Order agents, serving as the eyes and ears of the Order within each house. Responsibilities of these pilots would include transmitting reports of any nomad, wilde, or other alien activity back to the order high command, as well as any other pertinent information required by the order.

We saw something of this in the singleplayer vanilla campaign, with numerous members of factions all across sirius, even outcasts, that were working directly for the order - but very few people knew about it. It doesnt make a whole lot of sense that suddenly with discovery, all of these field operatives no longer exist.

The issue is really blending in, perhaps a special operative ID would be more appropriate?

The concept I have for my one of my chars is along similar lines, although he's a freelancer not an escort pilot.

I looked at both Order and Special Op IDs and neither seemed to quite fit. Perhaps a request for an Order Agent ID for 4.86? There are Intelligence IDs for each of the original 4 houses after all (not sure if Gallia has one)

Yes to Order spies in Houses. But no to holding a Order ID, that kind of puts up a neon sign of "FYI I'm a spy".

I agree with Fletcher. How about just using the regular IFF/Ids but talk to the Order faction leaders ( I dont quite know how it works in the Order though) and post some forum RP about it , post stuff in their message dumps and etc etc.

we have them...but they are secret, that's why people don't go bragging about it or posting saying they are spies

heck I even know of a few nomad/wilde spies in lawful factions

but it's not like they are going to tell everyone they know about it

I always considered by non-order characters order agents in some way. Like my trader's rp was that he was in the rheinland military with sius malacos before malacos joined the order and my trader IC. But they kept in touch and my trader gave money to malacos which actually happened in game. Anyone could be an order agent, getting an order id just makes it more obvious, I don't think it's necessary.
