I, Hawkwings, pledge to never say these words again in-RP.
"engaging"
"coward"
"corrupt"
"scum"
Furthermore, I pledge to never gloat after PVP, either winning (haha you suck and I am teh awesome) or fleeing (haha you suck, 10v1 and you can't even kill me). And don't get me started on gloating while sitting in an escape pod (haha you suck it took you and 10 friends 5 hours to kill me).
I hope that my commitment will make the server a batter place, and I hope you will join me in this effort.
Corrupt can be used to a great effect in certain situations. Like a Bundschuh talking about the Rheinland government. And especially the GC talking about Samura. Samura's own lore presses the fact that they are severely corrupt and underhanded.
sorry, I cant take that pledge, but I can pledge to never use those words by themselves =P
All of them are good terms to use in RP, but you cant just say "engaging" by itself, otherwise you look like a triggerhappy pvpwhore. However, if I say "Bounty hunters, I suggest you leave the area before something bad happens to you" and they refuse, and I then say "Alright, all fighters engage bounty hunter targets at will, charge weapons and fire on my command", then it's good rp =P
"scum" can be used to great effect too. However, there would be net gain if people were to stop using that word altogether. It's unfortunate, but that word has become tainted. Come up with something more creative than "corrupt" if you want to talk about that sort of issue in-RP.

Then I refuse to take your pledge. In certain situations, 'Corrupt' is the best word. That's why the word exists and has a unique definition, to be used.
I can think of several ways to say that someone is corrupt without using that word, but I certainly won't deny you the opportunity to using that word effectively and tastefully.
The point of this is not simply a list of taboo words and actions. Can anyone guess what the point is?
I'm a hardcore Lane Hacker. I need to call the corporations 'corrupt', since that's what they are, from a Lane Hacker's perspective. It's all in how it get used.
'Coward'. Can I call myself a coward, or role-play one? It would be funny seeing a Gallic Brigand running away at the first sign of trouble(like a gallic trader that shoots back). I will only use it very rarely, but I might have a non-PvP related reason to call someone a coward (like if a fellow KNF refuses to fight). Better keep this one open, but I will reserve it for 'dishonorable' situations like above.
The rest I agree with completely. I'll take the pledge.
Edit: Lemme guess. The point is to encourage role-play and eliminate idioticy. I'll just follow this to the spirit and not the letter.

Holey Mackeral... I think I agree with Tenny!
Some say that he is allergic to a fungus found only between the toes of Corsairs,
and that he is oblivious to 98% of Liberty Law. All we know is... He's called the Busdriver!
