First off, yes i know the weapons are overpowered and its only been a few in game months (when has that stopped anyone in history).
So I have an issue with the no gallia outside of gallia rule. First I dont see why under certain conditions people couldnt leave, exiled brigands, junkers taking civillian tech ect. Secondly I think Gallia should have privateers working sirius, but if one tried to rp that they would get sanctioned immeadetly and that just doesnt make sense.
So what I want to know is simple, why? Why cant we do great rp and bring stuff out of there if its not the weapons? I could equip all buckshots/krakens/splitters/furies whatever and rp that its gallian stuff and it would be balanced. So whats the issue then? If you dont let us do great rp and pull it off its gonna stay as dead as it is now and not worth the space it takes. So I ask you again why? Why cant I do a great rp event plus a forum story about some such and pull it off? If I do will I be sanction bait?
I believe Gallia is too busy with its' internal conflict to really care about the rest of Sirius right now.
The reason their tech is barred from leaving Gallia? They're French. If they go out, they'll surrender to Kusari or Bretonia, and then their superior tech will be ripped off and reverse engineered.
Yea you speak truth in one matter, gallia is just some empty systems up in a corner no one wants to take a detoure to. Maby not allow anyone gallic guns but alteast there could be made some things about its current very cutoff and unused status.

That still shouldnt stop privateers (under the "hey we will win this war so go soften them up while we finish off the council") or the "hey i got kicked out no where else to go" of a unlawfull faction.

In all instances but a brigand or union corse running away you dont.
junker blockade runner-goes back to gallia at the end of the run
privateer-goes back at the end of pirating
and such. Specially if its a large ship and they have an engineer onboard (say gunboat or transport) any machine shop and they should have it running soon enough.
Runaway brigands and such- their ships are salvaged some of the cards even say that. Would it not be so different to fix them with random salvage?
I think you'll find if you be patient the situation in Gallia will change. Right now they don't want people spreading Gallic stuff all over Sirius, which is completely understandable, because everyone would do it. I think you'll find as time progresses Gallia will be able to leave their space. Just not right now.
Furthermore...Humans have adapted bloody -nomad- organic gunwhatsits. You don't think a brilliant engineer could figure out an adaptation for guns? After you stripp it down to the firing mechanism, all you have to know is the ammount and sequence of energy to pump into it for it to fire. Delicate work, sure, but not at all impossible. Once you know that, you can easily construct a computer interface, and mount it on your ship, attached to power inputs.
As to Gallia as a whole..I'm not sure it makes internal coherent sense....Why, for example, did the council break down the barrier (how, too, did people never go around the minefield: if you read the news...it appears as though the IMG -knew- about the barrier) Reunion has itsself some plot holes. Why isn't the Council actively courting, say, Kusari, or Malta? (or liberty, Rhienland, the GMG, Zoners, IMG, Bretonia, Sairs, Hessians, etc?)
It just seems really fishy to me. I want to do good rp and being told "NO" to good rp makes me furious. That is why im posting this here and why Im gonna push as hard as I can to do my rp now instead of waiting a year for the next update...

There's probably a good reason for it. What's so wrong with RP in Gallia that you have to leave right now, instead of enjoying the new ships and guns in the new systems, where they are supposed to be?
By the way, Privateers are Government Sanctioned pirates. That means the leaders of the Gallic Navy would need to give you a letter of marquis in order to go out and attack the other houses... and considering the state of internal conflict in Gallia right now that's probably the last thing the GRN wants until they supress the uprising. If the Houses respond with military action, the GRN will be forced to fight against the Council as well as foreign militaries.
