Background:
The Inquisition was formed after the nomad wars began in the year 800. The rich businessman Wilhelm von Hasburg, the owner of a prosperous trading company in rheinland was the founder of the organisation.
The war against the nomads spread across the Sirius sector and did not spare rheinland. One of the first waves hit the Munich system, which was the headquarter of the Hasburg trading company. At this time Wilhelm was on his way to the capitol in New Berlin to a meeting with the heads of the other rheinland organisations to support the government against the alien aggressors.
The nomad ships came out of nowhere and attacked the Hasburg outpost near planet Nuernberg. The station had only little defences and was damaged very badly. More than 400 people were killed during the attack on the outpost. The aliens were finally defeated by the rheinland military forces and driven back into the Sigmar 17 system.
The search for survivors began immediately and Wilhelm von Hasburg was informed about the tragedy. The investigation teams boarded the remains of the station and searched everywhere but no life signs where found. While recovering the data of the stations main servers by an investigation team it was noticed that a few survivors had left the station with the escape pods and tried to reach planet Nuernberg. Wilhelms wife and his two children were among them. Wilhelm had hope to see them again and headed back to the Munich system as fast as possible.
As he reached the near orbit around planet Nuernberg he saw his destroyed station drifting in space, he started to cry. All this good humans died and didnt stand a chance against the alien invaders. Wilhelm was desperate and ordered his captain to land on Nuernberg at once to search for his family. The armoured transport entered the atmosphere of the planet and set down on the landing beacon. Wilhelm searched for the survivors in the emergency camp on the spaceport. There were only very few people there. He could not find his wife and kids. He asked one of the officers were they could be found. The officer told him that this few people are the only ones who reached the planets surface. There were rumours that the other escape pods where taken by the alien aggressors.
As he heard that Wilhelms heart broke
For half a year Wilhelm lived reclusive in his mansion on planet Nuernberg. The thought that his family was in the claws of the nomad aggressors drove him mad. He had to do something about it, he had to get clearness of the fate of his family. Still one of the wealthiest men in rheinland he contacted the Order. He received information that they were specialist and fought the nomads with relentless force. Some of the Order leaders invited Wilhelm to a secret meeting in the outer border worlds.
At this time Wilhelm declared the destruction of the nomad life form to meaning of his life
Wilhelm presented the leaders of the Order a concept to destroy all alien life forms in the rheinland territory. The Order agreed with his plan, they needed all the help they could get at this time. Wilhelm returned to planet Nuernberg and began to set up an organisation codename Inquisition. His mansion there for was converted into a headquarter with long range scanners and an interstellar communication array. He contacted his former employees which survived the attack, also the families of the victims who died on Hasberg outpost. He offered them a chance for revenge, a chance to pay back all the pain they had suffered. Most of them agreed and joined Wilhelm in his quest. These were the first members of the Inquisition.
On a second meeting with the Order, Wilhelm was granted to purchase a light carrier which should be the base of the Inquisitions operations from now on. The members of the Inquisition went aboard the carrier. There were freighter pilots and technicians, medical personal and communication engineers. They were taught by the Order how to use and control the ship. After the training, the ship left of the Order system and returned to Munich. Wilhelm decided to name it after an ancient code used by the witch hunters in middle ages. It was named Hexenhammer.
The Hexenhammer reached its position in Munich far away from the civil trade lanes. The MND knew about the organisation and had concerns if it could be a threat to the local authorities. Wilhelm organised a meeting with the heads of the rheinland government. He explained the intensions of the Inquisition to them and insured them that the only goal was to destroy the nomad threat once and for all. The meeting brought no real result, the Inquisition was treated as a neutral organisation for now.
Just after Wilhelm von Hasberg returned to the Hexenhammer the nomad attack on mankind was defeated by the Order. But Wilhelm knew that it was only the victory of one battle, the war was just about to start. In the following years Wilhelm lead several explorations deep into the galaxy in order to find out what happened to the missing survivors. Unfortunately the missions brought no result, Wilhelm grew more and more mad every day. The crew of the Hexenhammer had several contacts with nomads on their missions. The Geb turned out to be a capable fortress for the Inquisition. It withstood the attacks and was able to erase the attacking nomads with superior firepower.
After five years of search without result the Hexenhammer set course back home to the Munich system. After hearing of a raising count of nomad sightings there he decided to protect rheinland for the next time. But Wilhelm could not protect every corner with the Hexenhammer, so he had to get new ships and personal. He reopened the headquarters on Nuernberg again and searched for new members. Wilhelm did not care about the origin of the applicants. They all came for one reason, revenge for the loss of their loved humans which lives were taken by the nomads.
After the reopening a flood of applications came in. Wilhelm was stunned about all these men willing to join his quest. Wilhelm purchased some more ships of the smaller classes from the order to suit his men. Outfitted with new ships and men he expanded his organisation more and more. Also a research wing was formed, a more civil part of the Inquisition that would collect more information of the nomads and their helpers.
In 816 the rheinland government discovered a connection between the liberty house and the nomads. There was evidence that the libertonians experimented with the aliens. The Inquisition took their consequences and declared the liberty government to an enemy. At this point Wilhelm had made the Inquisition to a tightly organised group with churchly marks. Their members were focused on the goal to destroy the alien once and for all times.
Ranks:
Main fleet:
Gross-Inquisitor
Currently the Gross-Inquisitor is represented by Wilhelm von Hasburg commander of the -][-Hexenhammer. He is leading the inquisition. He is supported by several Inquisitors who lead the missions in the field. Currently he is away with his falgship to search for his lost family. Inquisitor
Currently there are three Inquisitors which serve in the Inquisition. Inquisitor Heinrich Kramer, Inquisitor ArChanum and Inquisitor Konrad von Marburg. Heinrich Kramer is the substitute for Wilhelm von Hasburg while he is on his mission in the unknown parts of the galaxy. Patriarch

Examples for the naming of the research wing vessels:
-][-Yomadansen

(Please contact the high inquisitor to take a lot at the name before naming a character)
First of all I'd strongly suggest replacing Outcast gunship in your shiplist with the Order one instead. Same goes to Falcata... and Sabre, for the sake of consistency around, probably as well.
Plus, what is your primary ID and IFF? Considering them you'll likely to find out that you cannot actually shoot every vessel carrying the stuff you have mentioned there due to restrictions of IDs. So it's all pretty complicated.

Hello and thank you for your suggestion.
The main thing we want to obtain with the choice of ships was to clearly seperate us from the order itself. We work together with them in securing mankind from the alien but act as a quite autonomous group. There is a maximum of three order ships which would be the geb and the resheph. The other vessels came along from the recruiting of new men. Also we choose the Tridente as a part of the borderworld series to fit the look of the shipline.
best regards
the Inquisition
EDIT: The main id we choose for the main fleet (which will take the fighting part) is the order guard id plus no tag at all as writen above.
Could you please explain how the Outcast members were inspired to join the Inquisition? As it stands they hold Nomads in a pseudo-religious state of worship and have neutral relations with them that can sway in either direction.
I don't find it too likely that htye would sign up to remove them from Sirius.
Now you see that choice of ships you've made doesn't really mix up well due to the origins of said ships, who manufactures them and what these parties are. Clearly you don't produce those ships yourself, instead you purchase, you borrow them or whatever, but either way you make deals with those who make them. Now the problem is that you'll find yourself unwelcome in Omicron Alpha, and consequentially it is very likely you'll be unable to purchase Outcast gunboats.
Tridente is not a Borderworld series ship, although visually it borrows design and has some alike look to it, but still it's first and foremost an Outcast vessel.
Another point to be mindful of is that the Order chose to form an alliance with the Corsairs in exchange for technology, that doesn't sit well with the Outcasts at all. So I'm even more reluctant to believe that they would assist you.
Aside from that I think you have some good material to work with.

Hi and thank you for you interest,
well it is not meant that there are much members of the outcasts. But imaging the nomads would take some outcasts away for what ever reason, or would kill some of them in an accident of missunderstanding the alien race.
When it comes to the "where does the Tridente come from" we would say it was brought by an outcast who joined us for what ever reason he may had for it. Also we see the Tritende as a part of the borderworld series and not just as an outcast ship.
But a good point with the outcasts, we will set them to enemy aswell. I forgot about this point.
best regards
the Inquisition
EDIT: To be honest, we thougt long about the gunboar class. We choose the tritende for its design fitting pretty well. I know that its mainly outcast, but aswell it is mentioned that its a borderworld development. Well lets see if there are more concerns about this vessel.
My impression of this is that suggested faction is some kind Rheinland-based Order-alike group, perhaps with some religious/inquisition undertones/style to it.
Either way it clearly need some fixing. Not a bad idea but some elements of it fall out of picture and are dodgy thoughts at best.
Added part:

Now what Nomads do, did and will do is our business. Best not to make stuff out like that, speaking for someone else here. If you got ideas about Nomads - it's best to talk first to who make them around, rather than assume what you may think will work out.
Quote:Also we see the Tritende as a part of the borderworld series and not just as an outcast ship.
It says Outcast in it's title, and that is pretty clear. What you may see afterward becomes irrelevant past that point.

Hello again,
Yes, you are right with your intension about the faction. Its mainly what you wrote above.
Please dont hesitate to write down your concerns.
Best regards
the inquisition
EDIT:
It was not my intension to speak for someone else, i was just offering a possible story how a outcast might have joined the Inquisition. But i see that the gunboat is the biggest concern at the moment.
