Very nice to have a setting to resolve the battleship collision issues at last. Well done.:)
I've done some initial testing with different settings in the following line:
ANOM_LIMITS_MAX_ANGULAR_VELOCITY_PER_PSI = X.XXX
0.004 allows a best diagonal 360 degree turn time of 31 seconds(almost 10 seconds longer than it should take).
0.007 allows around 20 seconds, equivalent to slightly better than normal turn speed of a battleship.
This setting has a very effective damping effect on the normal out of control spinning when a collision occurs.
Even a higher setting than this is very effective, although small rocks in asteroid fields start to have an ever increasing effect as the setting increases.
0.008 seems to work fairly well and I'd suggest it as a good default setting to make it more usable with cruisers and transports. It allows ships with a better turn rate to complete a diagonal 360 degree turn in 12 seconds.
Ant, we shouldn't make that default setting. Then VHFs and LFs would be hindered. It should be used only for people flying capships. That way it doesn't affect fighters. Some people might not know that it will result in their ships being really sluggish, and never find out why VHFs outturn their LFs.

Misunderstanding there.
I meant have 0.008 as the default for when the setting is enabled.;)
