how do i do that? subtarget the shield? and is it hard to do?

Depends on the ship you fight, it's usually hard to find the shield hardpoint, I find.

Sub targetting the shield would help, yes. On A Gunboat, you probobly dont have to worry about that, but on anything bigger,you should note the generator location, Or subtarget, and let em fly. As for the difficulty,Some Ungoly skilled people may snipe the novas outa Midair. A Supernova Dose not require ammo, and dose not have this problem.

If fighting a capital ship and it is thrusting away from you, the torp will not do any damage to hull for whatever reason. You must thrust around in front of it and hit it in the front or side. Often a very dangerous thing to attempt.

Try it on the hulls instead. Its meant to rip apart guns after some salvos, if I'm not mistaken.
