Alrighty now. This event will be held this Sunday, at 18:00 GMT.
Now pay attention. That is WITH daylight savings. This post was written at exactly 19:50.
The participants will be the Colonial Remnant on one side, and on the other, the 101st, and if they wish so, the SOB, and if they do not get enough ships, they can invite some Outcast indies to participate as well.
Credits for the idea go to Jansen.
A diplomatic meeting between the Colonial leaders (Colonial One) and the Corsair elders is planned. The Colonial Intelligence Service gets information about Outcast spies who found out about the meeting place and time.
The event itself happens on the return back to Colonial space. Organizing diplomatic talks with Corsairs would be too complicated, it is only a background setting.
Now, the Outcasts will try to kill the Colonial leaders on their return, most likely making an ambush in Sigma-19, thus making the Colonial Republic leaderless for a while.
This would help the Outcasts in their war against the Colonial Remnant, because a leaderless nation is easy to defeat.
What the Outcasts don't know, is that the CIS got the information shortly after the Colonial One's departure, and left for the meeting place with a small Nyx and Pytho escort, so they indeed weren't able to warn them, but they were able to gather a strike force which would attempt to get there in time and intervene.
Now this Colonial force will try to prevent the Outcasts' plan and is moving towards the meeting point, and will conveniently reach Sigma 19 just as the attack on the convoy begins and Colonial One's engines are disabled, where they hope to fend off the possible attackers.
Quote:[font=Gothic]Onboard of a heavily modified Argus Battlecruiser
A young CIS agent is running through the corridor, searching for the Commander who's giving orders in the CIC.
After a long run through the ship's guts, the agent arrived.
"Sir, it seems like the Colonial Nation is in big danger, i just got this information from one of our undercover agents in Alpha..."
He gives a sheet of paper to the CO.
[color=#090]"Was it sent via a high security channel?" "Yes, Sir..." "And the verification codes are matching too?" "Yes, Sir!" "Then the Colonial Republic is really in a big danger... Well done agent, now step away..."
The young agent leaves the CIC and heads back to where he came from.
"I need a secure channel to the Fleet Headquarters in my quarters right away, there is no more time to lose..."
The CO runs to his room, takes off the phone headset and starts:
"This is the Battlecruiser Leviathan, Commander Thorpe speaking, verification code Demetrius-1490-3234.
As you all know, the delegates from the Quorum headed to Freeport 9, on board the Colonial One, this morning. The escorts aren't that big, because we didn't expect a bigger threat.
But 10 minutes ago, a message from one of our undercover Agents in Alpha arrived here. He told us that we had Outcast moles here, which, I'm not really sure how this could happen, got this classified information.. Malta got wind of it and i think you know what I'm about to tell you.
Malta's formed a strike force to get rid of our delegates and thwart our diplomatic endeavors with the Corsairs..
I think you can imagine what will happen if they are successful... The Colonial Republic will lose valuable politicians and the Outcasts will have good chances to win this war while we're in disarray.
To prevent this, we will need a counterattack fleet out there and this should be formed as fast as possible. Lets hope they won't be too late to prohibit the worst...
I did my duty, as i can't risk that one of our CIS vessels will fall to our enemies , all that follows is in your hands now...
Ill send you a map of the Colonial ones route, and possible places for the Outcast attack in the attachment."
After he sent the attachment, he ended the transmission, to prevent spotting through hostile vessels.
Meeting point is the Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta, to have a neutral place for the meeting.
That's the place from which Colonial One and escorts are returning through the Sigmas.
Colonial one will be escorted by something around 4 Nyxes and 2 Pythos. Approximately.
Outcasts will attack in Sigma 19 after the Colonial One left the meeting point.
The Colonial Fleet (number/ship class depends on Outcasts) will start from Minato, after the Colonial One left the meeting point, wait in Sigma 13 until the Outcasts attack, and then rush to assist.
The Outcasts have to destroy the Nyxes/Pythos first, after they got them down, they can shoot at the Colonial One.
There'll also be briefings posted in the respective message dumps so the participants know what to do.
Also, a note. We're commandeering the Sunday 18:00 GMT battleslot for various events with our faction which we'll strive to happen each week.
Future events will be posted there as well, and it'll be used for coordination, I believe.
Starting from THIS PAGE
Quote:[font=Palatino Linotype] So how will it look?
Well, it's like this.
Outcasts will be lurking in the backwoods of Sigma 19, coming from Omicron Alpha -- > Omicron Beta.
They will be waiting for the convoy which'll be returning to the Taus through the Sigmas, and ambush it when they spot it.
The convoy will consist out of Colonial one and a few escorts.
While the fight is starting, additional Colonial reinforcements will jump in from Sigma 13 to Sigma 19, and the big scrap begins.
The Outcasts will have to try and eliminate the escorts, and if they do that, can try to destroy the envoy ship.
If it's destroyed, Outcasts have dealt a blow to the Colonial government.

Thx. Altaris
Also take the info from the 101st chat of those who said they'd come.
So far, you can add Jokoro, yourself, and let's say myself, if there's not enough numbers on the Outcast side.
Also, indies are welcome as well.
And for the sake of fairness, I didn't write the idea or the RP. One of our members - Jansen - did.

Juan.de.Dios[101st] is to be counted as reserve if the Outcast side isn't numerous enough.
Don't know what the others' charnames are. Try flinging a poke or two in the 101st chat asking them to post here and such if possible.
