Greetings Son,
As you should have just finished the Project Venice detail report I just sent you, your probably curious of many things.
Let me assure you I will give you a full detailed debriefing upon your return. But I must send you on a mission first.
I have received permission from Admiral Dejesus for you & 2 of her men to fly to Corsica & enter Mia Bonello's sealed office.
Some where inside her files will be more information on a hidden base of unknown location that was operated by a Lane Hacker Scientist hired by Mia to do some sort of research & experiments.
We need to know who this scientist was, where the lab was located, & what research he was doing.
All I have now is rumors & you know I won't rely on that type of information. I require cold hard facts.
When you get to Corsica, investigate all you can. find what we need. but be cautious, you will have a couple of Dejesus men breathing down your neck & looking over every thing you find. Do what you must to obtain the location of that lab. We'll deal with 101st when it is needed.
Upon your return, report directly to me. You are to speak of this to no one except any of your Assassins Squad members you feel can be trusted. This is of the utmost secrecy.
I await your return & stay safe my son.
Good Hunting!

Saluti Father,
I have already met up with the Dejesus's goons. Luckily for her she picked a couple I can handle being around for awhile, though you know as well as I do, if they get in my way they won't make it home. The 101st boys and I are currently getting ready for this mission, so I must go for now. I will contact you when I return.
Fino a qualche tempo dopo, mio padre.

Head of Assassin Squadron

Quote: Dusty Lens- Oops I did it again. I posted in flood. Got lost in the game. Oh, baby; baby.
Picaro sends the transmission to Picaroon, then puts his personal net communicator back into his jacket.
He then begins walking through the large 101st hanger toward his Sabre, thinking to himself the slaves and technicians should have it fully reloaded by now.
Picaro is stopped short of his Sabre by the two 101st first boys he'd be flying alongside to Corsica.
101st Red1: Picaro we are ready to launch when you are amigo. 101st Red2: Aye, I don't see why your spending so much time making sure that Sabre of yours is properly equipped, I mean hell we are just going to Corsica. Picaro Diablo: *Laughs for a second* As true as that might be, I always have my reasons.
Picaro climbs up into his Sabre, and closes the cockpit.
Once he has put on his fighter helmet he addresses Malta control.
Picaro Diablo: Malta Control this is Rear Admiral Diablo speaking. We are ready to launch our flight to Corsica. Malta Control: Roger Rear Admiral Diablo, the launchpad is being cleared as we speak. It will be ready for use by the time you get there. Picaro Diablo: Roger that, Keep Malta safe while we are gone. Malta Control: Aye Sir. 101st Red2: Can we get this moving please. 101st Red1: Would you shut up before I get Admiral Dejesus to castrate you. 101st Red2: *Mumbles* Picaro Diablo: Alright boys, quit arguing and get ready to leave the atmosphere. 101st Red1: Aye, after you amigo.
The three leave Malta with little atmospheric turbulence.
Once in space they head for Corsica in Omicron 85.
Picaro Diablo's Memory of the mission a few hours later
Picaro and the two 101st land on Corsica.
They find an empty hanger and land.
Once done landing they all hop out of their ships and meet on the hanger floor.
101stRed2: See Picaro, during that long trip here we never encountered one hostile vessel. All that time you spent getting your Sabre prepped to your standards we could of been here an hour ago. Picaro Diablo: Yes, but unlike you I'd know if we had encountered hostile vessels I would have been ready. 101stRed1: I wouldn't argue with him Red2, I feel much safer knowing at least one of us is ready for a dog fight in space. Though knowing him he wouldn't exactly need nor want our help in a normal battle. Picaro Diablo: Need probably no, depending on the size of the ship or fleet. Want yes and no, I respect and welcome the help, though at times to many ships on a smaller amount of enemies is just a confusion. 101stRed1: True there. 101stRed2: Let's Just get to Mia's old office alright? I have better things I want to do today. Picaro Diablo: Don't blame me pilot Dejesus sent you not me. 101stRed1: Don't mind him Picaro. Follow me I'll take you to her office. Picaro Diablo: *Nods* Very well amigo, just lead the way.
Picaro and the two 101st make their way down a long corridor, leading to a blocked off area of the ward.
They make their way though the debris, pushing scrap pieces of wall and such out of their way when necessary.
It looks to Picaro as if the 101st were trying to completely remodel this section of the ward. That or possibly completely block off this old office of Mia's. Which ever the case it was he was glad he was sent before they were done. If not he would of never found what he was sent to find.
The three finally make it to the door.
Picaro Diablo: Any chance one of you has the key to this door? 101st Red2: No we just came all the way out here to show you how nice the door looks. Yes we have the key. Picaro Diablo: Well I guess that's good for you then, because if not you would of learned how to blow a door off the hinges with a body covered in explosives cemented to it. Though after the explosives went off you wouldn't of remembered you were ever alive, being your brains would be scattered across this hall, but I guess that really isn't my problem. *Picaro lets out a slight grin* 101stRed1: Now, now Picaro I know Red2 can be a pain, but we don't need to be that hasty right? Picaro Diablo: Eh, I wasn't going to actually do it. I just wanted to see him hide behind you while I was telling him of how I would if I was tempted to. 101stRed1: *Laughs* And you did quite well at that. Let me unlock this door before you get an urge to blow the door up. Picaro Diablo: *Laughs* You 101st always did kill my fun. 101st Red1: Do you blame us? Picaro Diablo: *Still laughing* No, not really.
The 101st pilot unlocks the door and the three walk in.
Picaro looks around for a moment, noticing it was merely a normal office. Nothing really fancy about it.
A desk, a few chairs, some random Outcast symbols, and pictures on the walls..
He honestly expected more.
Picaro sits down at the desk and opens the drawers.
It was completely empty.
Nothing, no papers or anything... anywhere.
Everything was gone.
Picaro now getting angry.
He knows this might be the first time he had been sent on a mission to only return home empty handed.
Picaro decides to light his Cardimine to calm his nerves.
He puts his Cardimine 'Cigarette' in his mouth and lights his lighter.
Doing so he notices the flame of the lighter flickering, but the 101st pilot had closed the door behind him minutes ago.
Picaro thought to himself, where would air be coming from in a sealed room?
Picaro Diablo: This is all there is to this office right? 101st Red1: As far as I know amigo. This is the first time I have been allowed back here. Picaro Diablo: Hmm, I just find it odd that there is a draft flowing through this sealed office. 101st Red2: What do you mean, a draft? Picaro Diablo: *Picaro lights his lighter again* Watch the flame. 101st Red1: *He notices the flickering of the flame* Well, that is deffinately..odd.
Picaro stands up with the lighter still lit trying to find where the draft was coming from.
He follows the slight breeze to a wall in the office.
Picaro knocks on the wall.
It sounded hollow.
He knocks harder and hears a crash, the sound of glass hitting the floor and shattering.
Picaro Diablo: There is another room behind the wall. 101st Red2: Another room? I doubt it Picaro. 101st Red1: Oh really Red2? Then explain the glass shattering behind it. 101st Red2: *Not knowing what to say, he says nothing.* Picaro Diablo: How ticked off do you think Dejesus will be if I knock a hole in it? 101st Red1: I don't think she'd be to happy about it honestly, but if you think we need to knock it down... Picaro Diablo: *While picking up a chair Picaro replies* She can cuss me about it later.
Picaro throws the chair into the wall creating a large hole in it.
He then grabs a leg off of the now broken chair and begins to make the whole large enough to fit through.
Once finished he climbs through the hole into what looks like a hidden chamber of the office.
101st Red1: I guess it's true. Mia really did have a hidden chamber here in Corsica. Picaro Diablo: That's what it's looking like.. 101st Red1: Well there seems to be a lot of old file cabinets over there, you might try one of them. Picaro Diablo: Good idea.
Picaro goes through the filing cabinets.
He see nothing really important, but continues to search.
After doing so for a few more minutes he finds a folder.
Picaro dusts off the folder.
This thing is pretty old he thought.
He begins looking through it.
It reads on the front of it D---- Ja-- th- La-- h-c-er s-ie-tist.
Picaro tries to dust the folder off more but the front letters are to smudged to read.
He varies the letters in his head realizing the last few words were lane hacker scientist, he just couldn't make out the name.
Could this be who Picaroon was talking about?
He opens the folder and reads what very little information was still actually left readable.
It tells of a hired lane hacker, and that he had a factory on a toxic planet in the borderworlds near the nomad systems.
This has to be it he thought.
He places the folder inside his jacket.
Picaro Diablo: I have found what I was looking for, let's get back to Malta. 101st Red2: Not so fast, what is it you put in your jacket? Picaro Diablo: *Picaro pulls the folder out and hands it to the pilot* This is what I need. 101st Red2: *He looks at the folder for a moment.* You want this old peace of crap? Picaro Diablo: Odd I know, but yes. 101st Red1: Let him have it Red2, I don't see any harmful information in it. 101st Red2: *He hands it back to Picaro* Very well, Let's get back to Malta.
The three walk back to their ships, and head toward home.
