Here's how it goes.

I'm in the middle of updating the wiki look and feel.
The wiki needs some background and picture love.
I already have some things in mind.
Some people are already making some suitable backgrounds and logos, but I've decided to open this up to the General Public.

I want to see Ideas. Three people have already come up with a certain concept, but i want to see what your interpretations of the brief is.

Wiki Logo
Design Brief: Freelancerish, using black or white, the Purple Reunion, Gallic teals or the Vanilla blues.
Text: Discovery Freelancer Reunion RP 24/7 Wiki Neural Net, and any combination of these words thereof
Additional: Try to have it in line with Reunion theme, With a Freelancer style and feel.
Size: 155 x 155 pixels.
I want to see lots of wiki logo ideas. These are just ideas, not commandments. Go crazy!

It may be easier to design the background first. Both, the background and logo square have to go along with each other.

Background

• No Text
  
• Colours: Reunion purple, Gallic teals, FL blues,
  
• jpg format for the proofs, PNG for the final.
  
• ideas to consider: Transparency, starscapes, nebula, space, "cool", Freelancer, Reunion, Gallia,
  
• My first idea is to have a large image that can repeat sideways, I like variety with stars, Potential for fading to a solid colour in the background.
  
• Sizes: 800x600, 50x1200, squares, and whatnot. Surprise me.
  

Reward: The person whose design(s) wins will be up on the wiki, until it gets replaced. And you know how long that might be. (I have no characters so I can't really pay you any money.)

I do, like your idea.
I'm gathering more ideas from other people.
I want to see more ideas, more differences. They might think up something that you/we haven't. You're leading at the moment. Get yours done and we can have a barby! (That's a celebratory barbeque in NZ.)

Hows this for a wiki logo Hyung? It uses the gallic flag, gallic colours, some transparent stars and that background for buttons in FL.



Update-Thanks for the tip Hyung, used agency FB font and did little highlighting thingy.

This one I like alot...The "Discovery RP...7" is a bit too small though. And try adding a funky gradient to the Reunion logo's Fleur De Lis (or however its spelled). Just for some more effects. If that doesn't turn out good, make the fluer de lis pure white and set the layer to overlay, you may need to duplicate the layer to make it show up more but it should look really cool.

I should make one myself but I might not have time... I'll try before the end of my day (say around 14 hours)
