Today, on this, the Eleventh of March, nearing the prophetic Ides we learned to fear as children, I engaged a man whom I shall never forget, nor that I shall ever allow to escape. An impudent wretch, a man of such low standards and moral values that I cannot stand to think that he still draws in air. That fool, responsible for an attack on a prison vessel today, is named Richard York.
I am Captain Igor Svaldi of the Kusari Naval Diplomacy ship the deLuna, christened after the Ambassador whose life is mine to protect. I took command of the ship after Admiral Hirishiko died defending the [KND]_deLuna from those foul Phantoms. And today, while aiding a newer recruit with his patrol and destroying the Golden Chrysanthemum ships and arresting their pilots, I encountered that foe who attempted to break a high security prisoner out of a House Kusari prison. The pilot of the Prospector, York, shall not outrun me again.
I succeeded in winning one battle with the Prospector, thanks to the aid of two Kusari pilots, LoTeK and Chijin. After that, I was able to tractor in the prisoner, but York's pod was able to engage in cruise drive. Using a Cruise Disruptor would have been deadly, and so I allowed him to escape. He quickly got another vessel, and headed out into Shikoku space. Not knowing which jump gate, if any, York would go to, Chijin suggested that we split up. We three each went to an individual jump gate, and as fate would have it, York was en route to the New Tokyo jump gate. Luckily, I was stationed there.
A long battle ensued, in which he often would get ahead of me, and I would follow, missile turrets blazing. He was a wily pilot, and I never could predict where he would go. My battle razor was ineffective.
The deLuna, also referred to at times as the Pride of Kusari, followed the Prospector into the nearby nebulae, rendering our scanners highly ineffective. I still had his ion trail, however, and pushed my crew to follow it. We knew that, from the rate of ion-decay, that York was about 4 thousand kilometers ahead of us, but still we followed. Once the ion trail indicated that there was some form of slowing down on our target's part, we were overjoyed. It lead to a Kyushu jump hole. We saw the Prospector entering, and after firing a volley of missiles, which missed, we followed the Prospector into Kyushu.
He had escaped by then, entering what we had thought to be a death trap: Hiroshima. But alas! That foul creature had evaded even those brave Kusari pilots! And now... now, we wait. The prisoner, Commander of the Ouray Xeno base, has been placed in the prison hold of the Pride of Kusari. For now, that is, until we can transport the bugger to our battleship, under high security, and hopefully eject him into space, as is the execution style for terrorists.
As per the instructions of the Ambassador, currently on planet Gran Canaria for the wake of her good friend, the terrorist is not being abused in the cells, nor is he being starved. I fought valiantly to that end, but Fiona... that is, Ambassador deLuna, would not hear it. He is being treated like a VIP. A VIP, for God's sake!
Still, the Ambassador can't protect the terrorist aboard the battleship... and there, a fate worse than death awaits him.

Fierce fighting all around today. First, while patrolling Honshu, the Pride of Kusari was engaged by five Raven Claws... or were they Talons...? No matter; the fighter designed by the Zoners began firing at the Pride of Kusari, much to my dismay. All sorts of lasers were flying towards us, accented by the occasional missile. It was ridiculous just how fast the things went! However, the liberal firing of Cerberus Turrets nullified the threat, and the Pride of Kusari was victorious. The battleship Night_Crawler aided, but was ordered out of Honshu as soon as the fighting was over. One or two of the Blood Dragons escaped into New Tokyo; the Chuushin and I pursued.
There, while safeguarding the Kyushu Jump Hole, I was met by the NovaPG fighter, Intoxication. He and I had a merry jaunt, neither of us scoring any decisive blows. The other Blood Dragons returned, and did battle with the Pride of Kusari. I'll admit, they were better this time, augmented by the Blood Dragons who often are seen entering the Kyushu Jump Hole. And loathe though I am to say, they took my shields down a few times. The Pride of Kusari was able to defeat a few of the slower ones, but it seemed things were grim. That is, of course, until the IND pilot Derek Mendel showed up.
Not too long after, it was Intoxication versus Mr. Mendel and myself. I was unable to hit the ship, so I let Mr. Mendel handle it. I sequestered aid from the IND pilot Stuart Payne, and both began to circle Intoxication. If I remember correctly, Intoxication was able to escape into the Jump Hole.
At this time, Nansei Station began broadcasting that the battleship 'MotherShip' had been located. I refitted the Pride of Kusari, and gained the aid of the IND Battleship, whose name escapes me now. Together with the RM ship, Wasser, and the KNF-GB Chijin, we were able to defeat the growing force around Nansei. Currently, I've instituted five Samura and seven Kishiro CSVs to conduct repairs, as well as some two hundred men on the inside. Several torpedoes found there way into the station, but none of the critical data was damaged or stolen. The Blood Dragon raid was a bust, in short, and I am pleased at the results.
I must confess that without the IND and RM support, the situation would have been past dire. However, it is good to see that the Ambassador still has allies, and that they are willing to engage the odds in order to help her out. Mr. Payne and Mendel were each paid 2 million credits for their assistance, and given all-you-can-eat passes on Roppongi Station. The Ambassador herself gave them the ability to put any charge on her tab... I fear she'll be bankrupt, considering how much they can eat!
Fiona called in many favors today... let's just hope she doesn't regret them soon.
I am eager to return to battle! The Blood Dragons put up an honorable fight, and I think that it will be interesting to see how they fight now that the MotherShip is out of commission.
Perhaps they'll repair it? Possible. But it won't be near as powerful, and for that, we can all be thankful. Kusari space is safe, and the many factions who played a part in the safeguarding of Kyushu, New Tokyo and Honshu have my gratitude.
