Hola, the rule would be good. I downed someone pirating a vessel in the middle of cali space and he just stayed on and ruleslawyered and complained for ages. Note that I was NOT in my battleship/cruiser but if I saw someone being pirated I'd never hessitate to help whatever I'm in.
Problem is where can we ship them off to? How do we get them out of system? we can't just kick them out of server for 4 hours... thats no fun
' Wrote:It's a good idea but I think they should just implement a plugin that doesn't let you into that system for 4 hours.
No.. just no..

Said character eh? Navy pew pews my Sabre, so I come back in a Broadsword to pew pew them back? Then the Navy blows up my broadsword, I go back and grab my Bayonet, blow that up, grab my second bomber... That makes a boatload of sense..
Also, the one hour isn't a good plan. Some fights extend over several hours, so if you get SNAC'd in the first few minutes of the fight, then in an hour you can come back and join the fight, by that time the other people that have died are coming back.. fights would never end.

Then don't sit for six hours. Go play on another character.

The rule's fine as it is..
Yeah.. It makes no sense to continue on in different accounts with the same people. That's the point of role play. The need for the rule to cover all of your characters truly retards the role play process. If someone can't continue on as a different character with different things to do, naturally they are breaking the role players creed, a decent read if anyone knows what role play is.
So don't go grabbing your other characters to blow up the same people over and over. And who's to say you don't have a Outcast that just got blown up with those same kiddie cops and then have another character who is one of those kiddie cops? Sucks if you can't go to your other character and go play nice with them.
Should really be limited to the character in question, and really, four hours is a long damn time. You should be able to come back after one hour and use that system, also be able to pass through it so long as you don't instigate things. I can tell you too many times connecting systems I've traveled and friends have traveled and end up getting jumped for their rep. Why make people have to go completely around the other way of the map for 2 hours when they could simply just cross.
A lot of the rules here are quite good in my opinion. But some are rules just to be made rules because someone was either bored or is rule happy. Sometimes less is more and if people do stupid things, they should get punished for them.
Oh sure, flame on. I talked about the rules. Truly the rule on just about every server for kills is to prevent players from harassing each other and to find other things to do, to prevent said harassment. It's no fun to either be killed by the same person over and over or to have to fight the same person over and over. Four hours to me is just overkill. And sacking all of your characters from one system on the server really ruins it further to me. Sure the *rule* prevents people from going back on any characters, but shouldn't we just rely on trustworthiness not to take things out on people on different characters until we are satisfied? Sure not everyone is trustworthy in the universe, but if they are going to come back on another character and instigate something again. That is breaking another good standing rule, *Harassment*.
So why the need for so many rules when they are clearly already made. Harassment is Harassment, no matter how you look at it. Someone comes back on another character and tries to start stuff, they just broke that rule.
So go on making endless lists of the same thing over and over. Repetition is a virtue of people who are unoriginal.
"Abstinence of the Heart; Sever Your Emotion Like A Defective Circuit..."
P.S. If you want to kick people based on death so everyone gets a turn to play. Make this joint a two system mod(so everyone can leave the system they just got killed in!!!!!!!!!!!) and then let them be kicked after switching systems to let someone else on.

well, i like the idea of "being cool." the complainers and rule-breakers can go and... be sad... yeah.
if you dont play the game right, dont play it at all.
This is not a good idea. Some of us want to continue using our characters elsewhere in Sirius after a death, and I for one would not be able to tolerate 4 hours in a starflea, or being kicked due to death, for no sane reason.
