I was recently defeated in a PvP engagement.
I admit i fought three times before i left...
I didn't know that the "one life to live" rule was put into effect.
Also, i was given no complaint untill after the third death.
So... punish me as you see fit.
Anyway, is there a rule saying that i need to leave the system completely if i lose, even as another character?

Well, I'd say that fi your beaten in one system, you should leave that system as all chars that would be hostile to the one you were fighting against, or at least all of the same faction.
I have a similar one, if one kills a hostile player in one system, can they reengage you in the next system? For example, If I was moving down to NL from NY, and was engaged in california, beat the player. Can they attack again in manchester or magellan?

In the middle of the fight some people find it quite hard to type, you know.

It's a matter of interpretation, but technically, the character should be dead/ship destroyed and should not re-engage, even if it is another system.

Think logically. Really, who's the destroyed one? If he/she had another reserve ship ready... I think it's OK if he/she switches in the home system.

This brings up an excellent question. Can we create a hybrid rule brought from Beta 2 to Beta 3? It has been posited in another thread (forgot who and where), but could we not have a "1 death in 3 ships" rule?
Don't you think it would be too much? And you made laugh as I haven't in a long time!
Have mercy on my brain, please, I beg you! Out of a total of 44 (if I counted right) [SA] tagged characters, 11 are fighters, most of them flown under 5 hours total, some even less than 2 hours. The rest are mainly battleships. You (the SA) should be the one to least require respawns.
As for clarifying who has the right to respawn - it's the fighters in a fight against a capship - 3 times.
Also, I am for the respawn in home system only for a fighter to a capship. If a capship has been destroyed - it is done, no more respawns.

I think If a Pirate attacks say New Tokyo.I think that they should be able to switch chars and so would everyone else, because the Helghast launching point for there raids is only 1 system away so shouldnt they be able to switch to a different char to?
Well I am pleased to hear my question has brought some levity into your life Nightfall. However, it was not my intention. I was simply putting forth a possible general rule, but even this is met with ridicule.
In addition, such statements are unwarranted in relation to my faction, especially from an Administrator. My position was as a community member and not as South Alliance.
Addendum: releasing our numbers is, I believe, an abuse of your position and I would appreciate it if you do not do so again.
Since on a roll. If you look at the numbers (11) that have been released you shall see almost everyone of us has a fighter. Time should not matter and our preferences are ours.
