You know, it becaomes very complicated when you have one unlawful shipline operating in two different houses.
Rogues vs Liberty lawfuls
Mollys vs Bretonian lawfuls
The balance between the two gets screwed up badly, does it not? I mean this:
Quote:I would like to say, it probably wasnt LN, or anyone from Liberty. It was actually BAF, which has Templars, one of the slowest VHFs. In group fights they had problems with hitting it, and since Paladin is useless razorbait, they couldnt do much else than just point it out and hope something happens. Only way of killing us in MR vs BAF events was flooding the area with mines, and hoping we will unluckily ram a few of them. biggrin.gif
In the end, the battle events died out because BAF got fed up of 2 hour long fights, in which they just couldnt do anything else than hope a stray razor or nuke hits us.
So, the problem was actually lying in Bretonia, not Liberty. Since LN is using mostly Guardians, I can imagine the horror of fighting them in a Greyhound.
Balance between two classses cannot be implemented if it is used in many areas.
The suggestion was simple.
Rogues and Mollys get their own shiplines, balanced out against their counterparts, however, the Pirate shipline is now put to be like a "Generic Unlawful" shipline all unlawful can use. Almost like the Civilian line.
*looks at Barghest* Well..yeah, ofcourse I see where I conflict myself right now, but, seriously, there is no real away out that I see, you cannot balance the pirate line against both the Bretonians and Libertonians, so this becomes waaaaaaaay too problematic.
Another idea would be splitting up the shipline:
Molly vhf, Rogue vhf
Molly lf, Rogue lf and so on.
Each "version" of the ship is tweaked as it is needed to be.
I like this idea, would definately help against the different enemies the Rogues and Mollys encounter.
[joke]But I want the Rogue Barghest to be painted pink, with "2milrdai" painted on the sides.[/joke]
[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

I kind of like the idea of the pirate line being generic unlawful. Half because it makes sense with the name and half because it'd be pretty neat to have a Werewolf, heh. But there is logic in your argument for sure.
I myself do not have any pirate type ships or others similar. I would like to see seperation on ship lines such as OC ships only for OC and Molly for Molly and Corsair for Corsair. I think you get the point,
When traveling in different systems and seing a group have 5 different ships, such as Molly bomber, OC gunships and have rogue or hacker iffs it just does not feel like I am in Bretonia, the same goes to Liberty as well and other places.
I am all for the idea of puting regional ships for IFF/ID tagged only usage.
(If I missed the point of this thread, let me know)
This really needs to be done. The Liberty Rogues no longer stand a chance merely double-teaming Liberty fighters with their fighters, the Greyhound (except for the few truly amazing Rogue pilots). Anyone will tell you the Hyena sucks, and the Werewolf is merely a Gunboat without the Supernova.
Somehow the BAF is having trouble against the Mollies. I don't get how.
