Senor Lightwing,
My comments did not suggest that Aurelia Silvan did not represent the people who had elected her, it simply made the point that hiding behind the "it's not my fault, I was only doing my job" is a poor excuse.
If I had thought that the signing of the treaty did not represent the will of the Council of Zoners I assure you that I would have responded very differently on behalf of the Benitez.
If Senora Silvan had felt strongly opposed to this treaty then I would have expected her to to do the honourable thing and resign her position and effectively vote her conscience. If the will of the misguided Zoners that had previously elected her had been to sign the treaty regardless of the cost to their leadership then I would have expected them to elect a leader who would sign the document.
Apparently they did elect a leader who would sign the treaty, and there is no disguising the fact that the Zoner Council leadership fully supports this "treaty".
Being a leader is not about making the "popular" decision. It is about makign the "right" decision and standing by that decision and being prepared to defend and justify it.
Perhaps your management style means that you regularly ask your crew where they fancy going for a sail each day? That would certainly make you very popular with them, and I suspect that the Corsair Empire would not be very high on their list of places not to visit at the moment. I'm not sure how succesful a trader you would be though by allowing the tail to wag the dog.
I have noted that you have stated publicly that you do not support the treaty.

Senor Lightwing,
In a democracy, not everyone gets the government they want. Does that then make their leader a Dictator?
I can assume that with your definition of dictator, thats why so many Zoners have abandoned the CoZ leadership?
In order to be a leader, you must first have a people to lead and by your own statement, the ZTC would not be those sheep.
"This is one reason why ZTC never signed the treaty"
I see you are not alone in that.
"Doctor Holiday and Sam Nichols resigned from CoZ before approving the content of this document".
You, and your collegues obviously saw the storm coming.
I daresay I'm about to see stirling denials and some announcement of union. Sadly, actions, or in this case resignations, speak volumes. Of course, my interpretation is my own and is not a reflection of the Corsairs official position. Unofficially of course, I couldn't say....
I'm Captain J. Mark Rios A.brown GB, from what I see, my dear brothers, we are always talking about the same. I think it's time to take action on the matter.
As I said Benitez brothers agree.
Furthermore, I release to stand guard in the FP of omega 3. Not to attack or attacking territory BAF Zoner if not as a measure of caution and try to avoid war.
Made it clear that if I am causing conflicts or quebrand some rule that I've forgotten, I leave office immediately.
J. Cordial Greetings Capitan J. Mark Rios
Many of you may recognize me, since I can usually be found keeping the peace in and around Gran Canaria and Freeport 1. I am one of the few Zoner Guards who actually..y'know...guards.
I would like to make it known that I openly opposed these treaties with Liberty and Bretonia and warned the other CoZ delegates that this would come back to bite them. My words fell on deaf ears for the most part.
As far as I'm concerned Bretonia's authority ends at the Cambridge jump gate and I will be enforcing business as usual while I am on duty. Any Bretonian authorities that violate the sanctity of FP1 or GC's 5k no-fire zone will be dealt with the same as any other miscreant, and I encourage our visitors to make me aware of such violations if I'm not around at the time.
I can freely say there's nothing more to discuss here from our side. When things change, we will notify people again. Hermanos, go, hunt. Make us proud.
