-[color=#FF9900]File Size- [color=#FFCC33]Some people may be suprised by the size of this mod,
This is an unavoidability in Music and Sound modding in freelancer, in the originals files Microsoft used an odd hybrid MP3/wav format that is neither 1 or the other, they have the relative size of a MP3 and the quality of a Wave file.
Unable to replicate this despite many attempts to do so means that the files are soley Wave audio files, again which some of you know, they can be pretty huge (for just audio) 1 minute = 10MB or so...
Banter..
I noticed a lot of people tend to say "I never have the music on" which is fair enough. because neither did I before I created this mod way back like a year ago now. However I do urge people to try this, it is another thing that keeps the game with that fresh feeling.
the music ingame flows seamlessly with no gaps, anybody willing to prove me wrong may attempt to do so, ive tried my best to integrate this OST into Freelancer and it works really well.
v.08 Update Additions
This update marks the Mod at about roughly version 0.8, making it almost completely finished with a few minor things left to do, mainly Bar music and Planet Landing themes.
Gallia
in the previous version of this mod, Gallia was not included, this was due to the earlier version being a more freelancer general use mod, since Gallia is a Discovery Freelancer addition, I had left it out. It is now however included within this version of the mod, and the track listings are below.
[color=#00CCCC]Gallia Space (Council controled) - Cid's Theme Gallia Space (GRN controlled) - Highwind takes to the Sky Gallia Danger - Shinra Corporation Gallia Battle - One Winged Angel
Special Systems
Some systems did not fit in with the theme they should really deserve to have, and so these systems have had their music specifically tweaked to better fit their desired atmophere regardless of the house space they may occupy.
[color=#CC33CC]Connecticut!
Conn is a fun system to go to for pvp practice, it is also just generally fun to lulz around in there talking like you cant i nthe rest of the servers systems. Its space theme reflects its fun nature, the Danger its tense moments, and its Battle theme reminiscent of a Rodeo Connecticut Space - Golden Saucer Connecticut Danger - Hurry Faster Connecticut Battle - Fiddle de Chocobo
Omicron Iota & [color=#CCCCCC]Major
some of the last remaining pieces of the K'haran civilisation, the themes here have been made noticably dark and eire with a uplifting battle theme.
Omicron Iota/Major Space - Infiltrating Shinra Tower
Omicron Iota/Major Danger - Who Am I?
Omicron Iota/Major Battle - J.E.N.O.V.A.
Omicron Delta
This system was changed due to its mostly using other random music files within the library, so i used this as an opertunity to add music that would otherwise have not made it into the mod. Omicron [color=#009900]Delta Space - Shinra Wages a Full Scale Attack Omicron Delta Danger - The Nightmare's Beginning Omicron Delta Battle - Fortress of Condor
Asteroid Fields and [color=#9999FF]Nebula
Now, in the original freelancer (including discovery as well), if you have music on in your game (i.e. standard freelancer game music) you will notice that the music for space ambeince disapears upon entering say a gas cloud, or a mining field. with this version of the Final Fantasy 7 Music Mod the field and nebula ambience has been painstakingly mixed and tested with music overlayed on top of it.
Making entering a asteroid field a nice change of pace in the theme. also for those factions whos headquarters mainly reside inside a field, makes it a little more refreshing on your behalf, instead of a dull rumble, you get a nice ambient musical theme, as well as the quiet rumble in the background.
Mine Field - Lurking in the Darkness (Manchester/New York) Debris Field - Underneath the Rotting Pizza (New York/New London) Ice Asteroid Field - Flower Blooming in the Church ( unknown ) Mine Asteroid Field - Holding My Thoughts In My Heart (Dublin? / unknown.. ) Lava Asteroid Field - Cozmo Canyon ( unknown ) Rock Asteroid Field - Anxious Heart (Tau 23/Omicron Delta/Kusari) Nomad Asteroid Field - Great Northern Crater (Omicron 92)
Badlands Nebula - Trail of Blood (New york) Dark Matter Nebula - Who are you? ( unknown ) Ice Cloud Nebula - Trail of Blood (Edinbrugh/Newcastle) Barrier Nebula - Sleeping Secret in a Deep Ocean (Omega 49/Magellan/Cortez) Nomad Nubula - Infiltrating Shinra Tower (Omicron Iota) Walker Nebula - Reunion (Rheinland Somewhere:P) Crow Nebula - The Lifestream (Omicron Minor/Alaska) Edge Nebula - Chasing the Black Caped Man ( unknown )
Here is the Track [color=#FFFFFF]/Region listing

So if you know the Game Final Fantasy 7, and like its OST, then this is highly recomended for you, and know a song that would fit in either of the spaces for gallia and isnt already in use, then feel free to leave your suggestions below:) -------------------------------------
Again, a big shout Arashi for the File Upload Space and always being awesome <3

Damn. You weren't kidding about it looping smoothly, I didn't even notice that it had looped (something that really bugs me normally). It was a bit odd having Still More Fighting start in the middle instead of at the beginning, though... I haven't gone through all the music yet, but great job so far.
My only problem being, I don't have music turned on ingame... like... ever.
So... hmmm.
Nice job though!
my thought EXACTLY, hence my initial plan for the mod, to make me turn the music back on.:Dgood incentive for you too.

yep, again, i share your thoughts again, i hate people that do a shoddy job and try to pass it off as some masterpiece, im working hard on this, i make sure its right before I put it out to the world:)
also, the fight songs i start at the peak of the track, because the "Danger" is where the rest should be before the song climaxes, doubtlessly there has been some talking before the fight, so its best to start the songs with a bang.
@Coriko Lameos
no the shinra music isnt in unfortunatley, i did think about it, but there isnt aywhere that i thought it would actually fit into the game. if you can think of somwhere ive not already planned then feel free to give suggestions (ive not writen down where i planned to put the music ive not stated in the readme so ull have to guess)
perhaps ill put it in as a Landing theme for a planet or 2.:)
I am a bloody huge FF7 fan, and I'm going to download this right after I post this message.
If this music doesn't work well, you will be slain!
<strike>Oh on a serious note; Can you disable the mod if you grow bored of the FF7 music a few months in, to bring back the original?</strike> I see how you changed it around now, I'll just back up the music.
EDIT: And personally, I think you should switch the Liberty and Bretonian Space music around. These days, Liberty is oppressed (though the name with the song doesn't seem to match exactly!), and Bretonia is a giant factory, so Mako Reactor would go great with it xD
