Using of nomad cannons in capships

Ok I was to send this to the admins but I will put on the open so that everyone can see.
During a engagement on Kyushu between the KNF and outcasts today, [KNF]Mirage came with a gunboat filled with nomad turrets.
There was a discussion before about not using such weaponry on capships. Only fighters are authorized and only one or two cannons, and only for factions in contact with nomads (order or blood dragons for example).

I was helping the blood dragon Archelon, who was alone engaging some four KNF fighters. [KNF]Mirage entered the battle soon after that. I noted the sound of the nomad turrets and did the scan.

I refused to engage [KNF]Mirage and retreated, complaining about these turrets. He pursued me.

AdmSirRed, in a outcast dreadnought and with outcast ID and tag, entered the battle to give assistance to me and Archelon. Then a IND battleship appeared and there was no chance for AdmSirRed against a battleship and a gunboat filled with nomad turrets. I decided to re-engage, first targeting the gunboat. Consequently we lose, but before that, [KNF]Mirage shield runned two times.

This is the second time [KNF]Mirage break the rules. First time was yesterday, when he changed ships in the middle of a engagement with blood dragons, just for his convenience. The NovaPG and the BDR were there and they are witness to it. And he was using the nomad turrets too.

Theres no RP in using nomad turrets. Its a hypocrisy what I see in this forum, this people obssessed with RP, RP, RP, RP...and when came to the game, equip the ship to win, with nomad turrets. Sincerely, you piss*d me off this time, not because I lose, really I dont give a **** for that, the problem is you using this equipment. So watch your *** when talking about RP.

I'm sorry, and I don't mean to flame, but the BDR were able to cobble together a working battleship - a fact I'm still boggled about - and outfit it with loads of Nomad tech. Many of the Raven Talons that the BDR use are outfitted with Nomad tech. Not *all* of the weapons are, mind, but it just seems strange to me. Now, personally I don't think anyone should be allowed to use Nomad weapons, considering that they are organic and, therefore, incompatible with our tech. Still, I'm not here to change all that.

Now, I don't see what the matter is insofar as the weaponry. Nomad technology is accessible to everyone, just as the Inferno (capital ship variety), Cerberus (capital ship variety), Order/Corsair (you guessed it, capital ship variety) are. If one faction can use alien technology, why can't all? [Note, I expect Nightfall to speak to me harshly soon...:P]

I can't talk about the shielding running or anything else, as I didn't witness any of it. But as for RP, I demand an intricate story explaining the MotherShip before I attempt to verify or mollify anyone. That battleship makes me pull at my hair with confusion, and so help me, if I hear a 'we stole it' story, I'll go berserk.

As for the four v. one, what is the Archelon? Because this afternoon, I was in the deLuna and was up against five Raven Talons. Anywho, that's my angry post, and I'm sticking to it. Flames will be battled with flames! Or napalm! Or even...

Im not a member of the BDR and dont have anything to do with their battleship. Go complain with them.

Now for usage of one or two nomad cannons in a fighter is no problem, as Nightfall said.

And the difference in technology between a fighter weapon and a capital ship weapon would be what, exactly? Very little to nothing - this is but a natural extension. If the Gods of Discovery wish to make the rules concerning this a bit less ambiguous, I'll embrace it with open arms and squinting eyes. Until then, forgive me if I don't necessarily apply your advice to the fleet.

Now, were you the Perseus? If so, no one in the battle even bothered with ya until the Mirage showed up. We were busy zipping about with Archelon. He flies pretty good, but you couldn't support him worth beans in that pancake.. but oh well,

You'd like us to come at ya with our four fighters? ..One of them a Wyrm? I tried to stick a nova blast or two off the Chuushin where the son don't shine, mate; and double-teamed you when the Mirage got there a bit later.. after you'd had about 20 minutes to hit one of us. Har! (By that time, two of our fighters had to disengage for RL commitments..). This was about the time you did the plumber's apprentice routine and showed us "your" buttcrack. How was the view from 12K out, mate?

Really, this is getting pathetic, laddies. Not that long ago, the community clouded up and rained feet all over us for "escalating" things with big bad gunboats and big bad missile tubes, and a plethora of cap ships. (One bloody shared BS and three Dessies, I believe..). We were the village punching bags for awhile. Now the KNF requires all pilots to patrol in fighters solely in Kusari, unless something big shows up.

And guess what? Now we've got visits from stolen, kluged, Kusari BS's.. (one of which got vaped today, Huzzah!)

We've got as guests Outcast Destroyers, some huge thing I can't even name.., and capships parading through Kusari plinking at civilians on a regular basis; some of then without a clue as to RP or anything else. (Cheezits, one of them had to ask me directions from Honshu to Kyushu over private comms to engage us! I obliged, of course..).

And one bloke had the nerve to ask a new Kusari ensign if he could sign up with KNF right away and keep his Zoner dreadnaught!!! Night Crawler, if you're out there, read our bloody Faction rules, think about the idiocy of your request, and then PM Nadir. I'm sure he'd get a good laugh too!

So, anyway.. whinge on, the lot of you. So the Mirage had some trophy weps aboard. Next time, bring your bloody fighters, and we'll whup your butts the way you apparently feel we should be throwing ourselves against your ill-booten-gotty bloody cap ships.

This is a pathetic accusation. I didnt shield run. I only tried to disengage after I scanned Mirage and noted the turrets. He keep pursuing me and when the outcast and IND battleships came I had to reengage him.
Yes, it passed some 20 minutes until Mirage appeared. And what? I get 300 of ping, dont expect me to be fast. And as I said before, I dont give a **** about this. This is not about skill, this is about the hypocrisy of talking about RP and at the same time equipping ships with nomad turrets.
Dont complain about the outcast destroyer, the battle was balanced, there was four or five fighters against a fighter and a destroyer. This destroyer is using weapons according to its tag and ID, contrary to you, who write entire books of stories and when go to the real play, equip your ships with nomad turrets. Bah!

If Leonidas was fined of using such weaponry (and other things too), I think the rule applies to you too, unless some players here are "above the law".

You actually acknowledge that he was fined for 'other things too', but he was never find for the Nomad turrets.

And the Chuushin (or was it the Chijin? I wasn't there) has a ping upwards of 1500. So don't even begin with me on that front. Also, don't you dare accuse me of not having an RP-appropriate layout. I've worked damn hard to make sure it is, and went to the extremes of replacing my Cerbs with blasted civilian transport turrets. Okay? I've purposely weakened my destroyer, and currently have but one Cerb, the three Infernos, and the civie weaponry.

And I proved this afternoon that five fighters versus one destroyer is a one-sided match - the destroyer has the upper hand.

You are contradicting yourself. First you say its fine to use it, then says me to not dare accuse you of using such weaponry. I was using "you" in the plural, and if you are the leader of this fleet, so yes, it can be applied to you even if you are not using it on your ships.

Yes, before this engagement there was another near Tsushima Depot where I destroyed two KNF fighters, then I retreated to Tau 23 to do a weapon check. The engagement described above is the second one, who happened near the Tau 23 jump hole.
You can write your new book about how you became diplomat, etc, and do all blablabla about RP, this, for me, will be nothing when your boys uses nomad turrets instead of kusari weaponry.
