This is regarding AdmSirRed posting a screenshot about the LNS Phoenix (me) cruise-engine killing against him. Here is the page
Yes, I do know that it is not allowed, when in combat.
HOWEVER, what about when your opponent is in cruise also?
Taking the example of the situation against SirRed, he was running in cruise and a straight line, I pulled in behind him. I hit engine kill and began to fire, knowing I could atleast cause some damage before he got away into the Jump Gate.
I have seen some others do this in bombers etc (that includes myself)
Am I in the wrong for doing this?
If I am I would like an admin to fine LNS Phoenix by removing its weapons and armour kit. It only has 3 million on there at the present time.
Well the definition of the rule is using it to gain a speed boost not matching speed and killing the retreating enemy...however this can all be avoided by getting a train cruise disruptor....that can disrupt an entire formation of caps...
Zepphos, I explained it a million times that it is allowed in such situations. It actually puts you in disadvantage as you start slowing down as soon as you EK. If the runner is stupid enough to fly a straight line, he deserves to die.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. I am a long-absent Supreme Commander, Executive Commander, Grand Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and Captain in the mighty Hellfire Legion. I have returned, and am on an urgent mission from Drake Thastus to return the Legion to its former glory, and to claim the galaxy for its own. Only then will I be able to rest.
