"Black box recording #21, regarding the Shade contract.
By the time you are listening to this recording, I will most likely soon be dead, if I am not already.
I go by the alias of Bloodhound; freelancer. I am...a private investigator of sorts. I make a living gathering information on others, and in rare cases performing their executions. In most cases, I work for law-abiding clients, though there are some exceptions where my work is a bit more...shady.
My greatest assets are intelligence and my piloting skills, as they are all I have to get my targets. Gifted with neither physical strength nor great charisma, they are my main weapons.
This black box recording is about the Shade contract, aka contract #21.
The fact that you are listening to this recording means that I will not be able to complete the contract, but hope that this information will help others to do so.
I believe, like my client, that Shade is a danger that must be removed from this galaxy."
Bloodhound sighed, ending the recording. There was something ironic about recording a message in the case of your own death before even beginning work on a contract. Still, it was the least he could do in the case of his own demise.
Not that he had any plans of dying, young as he still was.
"Black box recording #21 continued, regarding the Shade contract.
The information I have been able to find on Shade in advance has been slim. Below is a summery of all I've been able to find.
First off, Shade appears to be a former BAF pilot. He was supposedly ambushed by a KNF wing, and was handicapped severely. Soon after, he disappeared, and was first seen again a year later.
At this point, he was incapable of talking plainly; instead, he whispers. Is this where he got the name "Shade" from?
Furthermore, most of his body had been replaced with various cybernetic parts of varying quality.
He appears to be intelligent and cruel, though to what extent I do not know.
Supposedly, he has strength and perception superior to that of most humans. Below are two images made with security camera's, showing one of his arms and one of his eyes.
For my own security, it should be assumed that he can see in the dark just as well as in the light, though I have no evidence for this
Low quality image of his cybernetic arms, made of several materials I have not been able to identify
That is everything I have been able to find out.
It is time to mingle with people - much as I dislike doing so - and try to find more info regarding Shade."
Bloodhound sighed. He could, for all intents and purposes, be considered introverted - a silent man who observed, but did not speak when unnecessary - and he hated the prospect of "mingling".
