'Honestly, I would have to answer with a yes. Since my awakening I have studied the human race in great detail, and am truly interested. I do not believe they must be destroyed - although I do see the arguments in favour of their destruction to be strong. The human race is unpredictable. It is impossible to predict what the race will do, for every human has a different idea.
'Some are aggressive. They would wish for nothing more than to destroy any threats to their existence and continue to worry about their own problems. But others...' He paused to examine the expression on the face of his guest. The grin was still plastered to the face like glue. After several seconds, Jek'resh cleared his thoughts and continued. 'Others do not deserve death.
'All humans are different. And whilst a small number wish to destroy us, others may not wish so. If my brethren had not been so aggressive in the first place, matters may have ended differently. Civilians, scientists, soldiers, every single human in existence has had an opinion about something. In the least, one matter. In the most, every matter that the particular human has ever heard about.
'The race does not deserve extinction. They may have their flaws, their weaknesses, but they are sentient beings. They are intelligent. They have emotions. They are seperate entities. Each mind can hold...' he paused whilst he searched his memory for the unit, 'can hold terabytes of information. Every single person's brain chemistry is different.
'Most of all, they have potential. I believe they have potential. Potential they have already proved exists. They have survived for thousands of years, survived and escaped war. Hundreds of different ideas of how to run the society they live in exist, but they choose an unfair one. Their is corruption, greed, evil. But their is honesty, generosity, good. Each mind is different; not all of them deserve the fate my brethren have already planned for them.'

Macdeath had requested to return to the Dunsinane. His guests had been escorted back to the ship, and it was preparing to leave Altair. Once the Slomon K'Hara had expressed its feelings about the human race, the talks had died down. Macdeath requested to leave the Complex whilst he organised his thoughts. The Slomon K'Hara had accepted this, and now Macdeath was back at the Dusinane.
As he walked through the tunnel that had linked Altair and the Dunsinane, Newton was there to greet him. Even from a distance Macdeath could see the grin.
'Ah, welcome back,' he said through his artificial voice box, 'You will be pleased to know the AI has been completed and is ready to install into the units.' Macdeath was surprised that Newton had not taken the "tour" of the station, but was pleased with the end result of this. 'Although this cloud inhibits the brilliant precision in my jump algarythm, I was able to set a jump to Leeds. We can jump as soon as this tube is removed from our ship.'
Macdeath chuckled. His plan was forming with a speed even he had not expected. Obviously he had underestimated the mind of Newton.
Behind him, the airlock closed and the clear tube retracted back towards Altair. Macdeath would be glad to be back in the only area of space he felt comfortable in: Bretonia. At least, for the moment.
One of the newest improvements to the Dunsinane was a new controlling system. The Dunsinane was now linked to Macdeath's mind, and all he had to do to control the ship was to sound the order in his mind.
As he gave the order to move forward, the ship commanded with an obedience matched only by the loyalty of Salazar's army. As the ship turned away from the shipyard, he gave the order to jump to Leeds.
The jump window opened, and the ship was pulled in.

Rikard nodded as he palmed the device, slipping it away into the folds of his doctor's coat. Following X closely, keeping himself ready for any potential trouble that may arise.
Further down the hallway, X made a brief motion with his hand, instructing Rikkard to get down as he brought his rifle up, letting off several bursts of hot plasma, scrambling the insides of two infested Libertonians. The others responded, seconds too late, falling victim to the same fate, he turned to Rikkard...
"The beacon, there's a button on the flat side, hit it."
Rikkard hit the button, and within a second disappeared in a flash of yellow light, X turned around to make sure there were no more infested nearby before disappearing as well. They both ported in onto the bridge of the 'Former Glory', of obvious Outcast design, but somewhat altered. X turned as Rikkard gripped his stomach...
'These men have been of no use to me.' Macdeath would have spat the words at Newton, but he had no saliva. 'Whose foolish idea was it to contact humans to aid us!' Newton could not help but point out the obvious.
'You did. But do not worry, there are only eight left. There was that one that you killed, and two were not accounted for when we left Altair. They must have stayed behind. Also, after we jumped another one left in his ship.' Then he added in a joke. 'You must truly be terrifying.' His metalic chuckle echoed through the small room they were standing in.
But Macdeath was not in the mood for jokes. 'I can't stand their silence. Their eyes judging me; they see me as weak. Let's just vent toxic gas into their rooms.' Newton gave the straightest face he could. His next sentence was as serious as a damage report.
'I already did. About two hours ago. I decided they were no longer useful. Quite frankly, it was a bad idea even inviting them. They have been of no help what so ever.' He was silent for a moment, before remembering a certain fact. 'Except that "Rikkard" with those nanobots. He saved me ten minutes of work.' He laughed to the best of his ability.
'Excellent. Let us move to finally install that Artificial Intelligence you have been talking about for so long. Perhaps then we can move to attack Phoenix Shipyards...' He slowly walked toward the lab, Newton at his side, with a grin on his mechanical face.
Little did he know that he was walking to his demise.

He watched them walk into the lab. The larger, with the bipedal exoskeleton and dark red eyes. The smaller, with the twenty three pairs of arms. Like human chromosomes. He looked like the larger, but his eyes did not glow. He looked like the other twenty four suits in the room: Dead.
But they were about to bring them alive. And he knew what they would do with the new task force. They would conquer the galaxy for a race that died millions of years before.
But he had a duty to stop that from happening. He saw it as his purpose to defend his race - not anymore, but he had lived his life as a human - when he had the opportunity. He owed it to his race. He owed it to those who had died at the hand of this mad... thing.
But most of all, he owed it to his family. Jodie. Peter. He missed them so much, and being forced to keep still for weeks in the suit gave him nothing better to do but to think about them. He felt like crying, but the suit couldn't release the fluid that passed through the eyes. So his pain, sadness and anger had been bottled up inside ever since.
He had blocked out the sound of the two machines, but now he heard that they were preparing to upload the AI into one of the suits.
Goodbye Jodie. Jeffery Allen thought to himself as he prepared to attack. Goodbye Peter. Goodbye cruel world.

PSI-Borg followed the ones known as Macbeth and Newton closely. From one of the air duct vents it watched as they entered the lab that housed the other mechanical bodies similar to the one Macbeth was using.
PSI-Borg didn't follow them into the lab. Having learned the other guests died from toxic gas that had been vented into their rooms, PSI-Borg concluded it's mission complete. It had been sent to "Learn what the other baddies would learn" as Mon'Star put it. With the others dead or missing there was no reason to continue it's surveillance.
PSI-Borg's spider like drone scurried through the air ducts. It quickly made it's way to a small safety lock used for venting the air ducts into space in emergency situations. A slender articulated tentacle emerged from the body of the drone and began tampering with the sensor wires on the lock. Extending from the tip of the tiny tentacle were a pair of scissor type shears that clamped onto the sensor cable and cut through the wire with relative ease.
As soon as the sensor was compromised the safety lock blew open. The air rushing out of the lock around the tiny drone easily pulled PSI-Borg out into void of space. The tiny drone tumbled weightlessly as the Dunsinane flew on, getting smaller and smaller the further away it got until it was totally out of sight.
PSI-Borg floated in space for several hours, waiting patiently. A glimmer in the distance signaled a ship was approaching. PSI-Borg felt the pull of the tractor beam as the small ship approached, a few seconds later it was tucked safely in the ships hold.
"Welcome home Borgy!" Mon'Star said gleefully through his flight helmet.
PSI-Borg's face appeared on the screen of the fighters control panel. "Thank you master, i have so much to tell you."
Mon'Star's smile widened, "Goooood my pet, gooood."
Newton was preparing to download the AI into the first body when the most unexpected thing happened. One of the suits suddenly sprang forward with surprising speed, aiming a punch at the slender frame Newton has constructed himself.
The power of the punch ripped through Newton's body and launched the fist through to the other side. The crippled Newton screamed, not in pain but in fear. The remains collapsed onto the floor with a clang.
Macdeath watched the spectacle until the rogue machine faced him. But he already knew what occupied the body which had just killed Newton.
'Jeffery.' He spat the words out in disgust. 'I should have known you would survive in some form. But I was distracted by other, more important matters.' Jeffery stood silently, its empty eyes now a blazing red. 'But why bother killing me? You have nothing to gain from killing me, unless you are on some sort of revenge mission.
'I know you, Jeffery Allen. You are a better man than one who would take revenge.' He watched as Jeffery lowered his arms to his side. Macdeath knew that he was accepting defeat. If Jeffery had tried anything, Macdeath would have immediately raised his arm and blasted the head off of the machine before he could do the same to him.
'I may be a better man than revenge,' Jeffery sputtered out whilst he adjusted to his new voice producing throat, 'but I believe in dying for something I believe in. And I believe that you must die.' He raised his arm and pointed at the nearest empty suit. Macdeath followed his gaze and recoiled in horror.
The self-destruct on the suit Jeffery now pointed at had been activated. And the small light that indicated it was activated - so small that Macdeath had not noticed it - was flashing frantically now. He returned his gaze to Jeffery, and saw that his face was covered with a smirk. A smirk of a man who had just taken a gamble and had won.
He spoke the last words he could think of. 'You were right. Fair is foul, and foul is fair.' And then the story of Macdeath was ended in a single explosion, tearing the Dunsinane in half with an explosion no man would hear. His last realisation was how silly his name actually sounded.
