"Enter," said the booming voice from the room within as she pressed the door buzzer.
The door opened and Midori entered the quarters of her patient, Commander Matok.
"Sit," she instructed the giant warrior, well, giant to her anyway. With a look of momentary inferiority, he complied.
"So how you feel?" she asked him as she began removing the bandage from his eye.
"I feel fine," he answered, looking straight ahead as she worked off to his side.
She removed the gauze and inspected her work from the day before. The incision was healing nicely and the swelling was largely gone.
"I see you did as I instruct," she said, "you are wise."
"Did I have a choice?" he asked her jokingly.
She looked into his face with a smile, "Well of course."
As they made small conversation, she re-applied some disinfecting ointment over the wound and re-applied a smaller bandage.
"Any headaches?" she asked.
He just shook his head.
As she stood packing her medical bag, he just looked at her, the life growing within her.
"She will be a great warrior," he said to her.
Midori turned to him in shock, "Pardon me?"
He repeated, "She will be a great warrior."
Midori then looked down at herself, placing her hands on her stomach. For a second, she thought and then turned to the Commander with a weak smile, "I hope not. Enough blood of my people has been spilled."
She then closed her bag and bowed to the Commander, "I will return tomorrow" as she left his quarters.
As she walked down the hall, she stopped at a window to where she had a great view of Planet Eris. She stared at it for several minutes before retiring to her own quarters on Pueblo.
The words of Matok continued to resonate in her mind, "she will be a great warrior." It was something that disturbed her. She then stood before her full length mirror and open her dress, exposing her stomach. She rubbed it with her hands as she stared into the mirror. As she thought of her daughter-to-be, she also thought of the loss of her brother, Kentaro, a warrior himself. After a few more moments of thought, she held herself, "no more warriors. Enough!"
She then closed her dress and prepared for a quiet dinner with her husband.

Don't go thinking that because it's quiet that we aren't working behind the scenes. For example, we have something being put together. For your review: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61576
If it's quiet, enjoy it. We don't have many of those times.
I should have some information to post in a couple of days. I just want to make sure I have my facts straight before I do.

I had a discussion today with Commissar Katz of the Coalition and they have made a request of us. They are opening a colony on one of their planets for the growing refugee problem from Bretonia. As this will ease the population growth of Port Jackson, this could help out with the expansion into the rest of Gran Canaria.
I actually spoke with him some time back about it but things have interfered getting this started.
They are setting up a tropical colony for these refugees to give them a new life on planet JiangXi.
They need the following:
-25,000 refugees
-Luxury food
-Gallic Wine
These 3 items are needed in order with visual proof of loadout and delivery for those who are repped to do it.
Also, if you can bring ship's hull panels and engine components to help build up civilian ships for these new people, that would help as well.
As it is, I was asked and have set up a medical facility planet side to prepare for their arrival. Accordingly, I have released the commander of the Ark to monitor things from the ground.
In return for these items, the Coalition will ensure that we never run out of H-fuel for our ships as things in Kusari have grown tense. As we speak, they are building a supply for us to have unlimited access to. As it is, we now have access to pass through their system as a route which has been a nice alternative to Omega 47.
So, if anyone decides to start on these runs, the refugees must be delivered to Zhukovsky Station. Please, take photographs of your hold, delivery and so forth so that we can get credit for it. Those of you in Whales can pick up refugees at Holman Outpost in Tau 31. Perhaps a few of you can group up for a run.
Keep me posted and keep all transmissions encrypted.
I leave for a week-long retreat, and most of ya go on Holiday? (Except Holliday and Donut..)
I'll be returning to the Temple from my Retreat sometime today or tomorrow. All I can say is, there'd better be some Kallisti Gold left!
I've received a Pinealgram from Eris.. She tells me we may soon have a couple of new Acolytes. Watch this space.
As to this "Baffin Accords" Conference, if I'm back in time, I'll merely be observing.. I have enough trouble dealing with our own "titanium tootsies" as it is.

As to the Baffin Accords, that's why you appointed me ambassador. I've been dealing with some of these folks, quietly so, for awhile so I'm on it. If there are any issues you would like me to address, send a message to my desk.
And to all, continue avoiding Kusari proper. It's a zoo. I don't want to hear about or see any reports of people getting hurt or killed over false accusations of supplying Kusari.

Thanks to the extreme generosity of an old Junker pal, I already got my border worlds transport back...gonna get back on my feet 'fore I consider goin' back to the 'ole Mammoth. Or somethin'. Not enough windows in the BWT - gotta have my windows! Name's gonna be...lemme check the spinner...okay, came up [TAZ]Loose.Ends - y'know, the kind the bad guys always try to tie up? Heh.
Oooh, that new Conference sure is pretty...I dig it! Kinda scared to think of what Graham'll do to it, but I gotta say, I'm lookin' forward to seein' how space changed while I was gone. Gotta repay a loan, then I'll be addin' one dinghy to the cause of Discordian Defense when needed, and the cause of goin' dangerous places and seein' things one ought not see when not.
Greetings Doc,
Its been too long since I sent a transmission to this channel. Paperwork is up to my eyeballs. The Crew have been transfering in and out with reports of QCP and Kusari hostilities. Anyways, to business. I have began to ferry refugees to the SCRA as requested but I am not too sure where I should report to. Perhaps a new transmission for this purpose should be made?
Regards,
