These last several weeks, [color=#33CC00]despite of having so much fun of watching people feed on each other and on themselves as well, I'm constantly askin' for permissions. Approval for this, approval for that. I know that just isn't my style to ask, but how else can you behave with people you kinda... let's say prefer. I guess it's hard to start creatin' things. I'm almost done with all this may-I,can-I business. I said almost cuz there's one thing I want from you people.
I already told this to Arbiter Hannibal Bishop but I guess he just forgot to respond or something. Now I'll quote myself from a transmission sent not while ago:
"I wanna own a Salvager but not just any kind of Salvager.I'll name it "Joker's Asylum".That vessel has to be capable of servicing small ships, nothing bigger than Tridente but also capable of servicing and repairing just one cappy ship.Nothing bigger than Dessie or Battlecruiser if I ever get one.
Wanna hear a the most interesting part?I bet you do.I'll also use that Salvager to hold captive my enemies who require certain... rehabilitation.
So,what do you say?"Joker's Asylum" -Non-Salvager of other people's minds?Haha, ha-ha."
I'm sure that you can refit it, adopt it or whatever it's necessary to meet my needs. If you decide to build this for me, I'll be very grateful. Just name your price; money? (I'll just rob some people), protection? (I'm not certain that you need it, but it's worth asking) or any kind of favor that you come up with.
It's funny how one man's life can turn into a bunch of paperworks. Especially mine.

Greetings, Mr ... Joker.
You will have to excuse us for our sluggish response, but with the latest Ion Storm we have been quite busy handling the mess.
To be honest, I don't think that a man such as yourself should have access to one of our Salvagers. It is not so much who you are but what you do. The Salvage Frigates are the hallmark of our group. When the police thinks Junkers, you think of ye old Salvager dragging a huge chunk of scrap back to base for smelting. Letting one of said ships fall into the hands of a murderer ( I am not one to label people, I am just putting it as it is) will shatter that illusion and do-gooders everywhere will be on our arses demanding explanations. Unnecessary diplomatic flak is to be avoided, after all.
Another thing that strikes me is your choice of vessel. The Salvage Frigate is at it's core a utility vessel, no matter how much you tinker with the blueprints. A ship such as the Pilgrim would fit your "needs" a lot better. You alter parts of the interior easily to create your "Asylum" and some others to create docking areas and such. Heck, you can even staple a couple of shipyard-grade repair tools on the side and make it fix a bloody battleship. I am sure the boys here at Invergordon would appreciate the extra work.
This is all just my opinion, mind you. Your transmission has been forwarded to the rest of the Congress with an "Important" stamp on it. You can expect a reply from an Arbiter relatively soon.
[font=Trebuchet Ms]I don't take rejections as answers and I usually use my glimmering blades to make people understand, but you gave me reason which is reasonable even to a deranged mind such as myself.
Why I've chosen this vessel? [color=#33CC00]It's armored enough, has more than enough firepower and it's, in my opinion, best suited to be adopted for the use I had in mind. Perfect for my Asylum. It'd require less adaptation than Slave Liner, which is nothing in comparison to Salvager. I hope that other Junkers will find this idea interesting enough to be implemented. After all, I don't think that, not to my knowledge at least, no one before made such a unique requests regarding this particular vessel. It'd be something special.
I guess I'll just wait for Arbiter to respond negatively as well. Some of you people should not forget how my lil' organization threated your folks up till now. To be more precise, I never interfered in your business and let along attacked any of you. As a matter of fact, on several occasions, some of Junkers even salvaged loads of cargo left behind by my fallen victims. I guess you're not familiar with that fact, and I'm also guessing you won't search for any morality and decency in such acts as well. I don't really mind much about that. It's all just a bad joke but on your place I'd keep your mind opened. If you're gonna call me a murderer, which is suitable and pretty much ok by me, don't you dare to forget that your code is based on scavenging.
The future is so...unclear. You can never tell where and when one acquires his enemies. I'd consider it unwise to refuse, I'll use the term, alliancewith unstoppable growing force.

Well I actually think Mr. Beast gave you a rather well formed answer. I agree with his assessment as well, the Pilgrim would be more suited to your needs. However, neither the Pilgrim nor the Salvager are combat vessels and if you are planning to use either as such you will be disappointed. In addition, we do not mass produce the Salvager, they are unique ships owned by unique Junker families.
That's not what concerns me the most in this discussion however. I've gotten where I am in life by keeping a cool head. I like it just fine when my life is simple and quiet. That's the way we do things. I really don't like it when people bring trouble to my door. I've been quietly observing your recent exploits. I've noticed that you don't exactly keep a low profile. You have made a lot of people angry and you don't seem to be concerned about this. No problem there, you are entitled and it's none of my business. However, if the numerous enemies that you seem to be accumulating were to see you flying around in a Salvager, it would become my business. It would become my business, because there would be numerous complaints to Chief Arbiter Bishop and myself and explanations demanded as to why we let someone like you fly one of our ships. Trouble I don't need. What assurances can you give me that your ownership of a Salvager would not cause me many unwanted headaches?
See how you Junkies have a nice way of... explainin' things? It's hard to hold grudge against you people. [color=#33CC00]Even for me, thus I hold none.
You said it yourself; these are not combat vessels, so why worry so much? It's not like I'm gonna invade systems with it. I just want to travel to world and meet new people; Nommies, Frenchies... Give it a name. It's true that this particular boat will be an Asylumbut It'd require of me to travel around in order to, you know... heal my patients. I can't rehabilitate 'em on one place, they have to see the world my way while going through certain... therapies that I'll be experimenting on them. Just think of it: in a way, you'll help in advancing medical science! Wouldn't it be great?
If you wanna build this for me, make it a Pilgrim Liner then, ok? People will complain less. I'm referring to your people. But please, build it with specs I mentioned earlier. I don't doubt you folks can do it.

Sounds good to me. See my man Beast at Invergordon and we'll get you set up with that liner. If you need any help acquiring the proper equipment for it just let me know.

Already ahead of you, Crow. Sent the lads down in the docks a message. The blueprint for the modified Pilgrim should be ready in, say, thirty, forty minutes? *laughs*
Just stop by whenever you want, Mr Joker. If the print ain't ready 'till there, I'll buy you a drink at my bar.
[font=Trebuchet Ms]You guys! You guys! You're good. [color=#33CC00]You're damn good. I knew it. Thanks a lot. I can't wait to see my Asylum flyin' around.
I just hope that I'll be able to repay you someday, the way I'm good at. The only way I'm good at. I've already told Jack... If someone starts givin' you trouble?
Anyone?
Everyone?!
I'll. Be. There.
