//OOC: Anyone from the TAZ, independent Zoner, or any other form of Zoner government is allowed to post here. This is detailing the "Aftermath" of the Joker's attacks on the stations, the stories, the horror of it all. It is to add to the effect of the planned out and brilliant roleplay of both sides.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Corfu was a wreck. Electrical lines hung down from the ceiling, doctors and nurses alike rushed back and forth taking care of patients, handing out medicine, trying to keep order to chaos. Hired mercenaries hung around the halls guarding the way into the room in case another attack would happen. Even huge ships hung outside protecting the station from all angles, which was the case at every Zoner outpost in Sirius at the moment.

The Tyche came out of hyperspace and hung in space for a moment before heading towards the station. The other Juggernaut's came alive as their weapons systems powered up and aimed towards the massive ship. The ship transmitted it's clearance codes and the other ships stood down, allowing the ship to come towards the mooring platform secured on the side of the base. With a groan of metal and hissing, the docking platform pressurized, and the doctors and medical staff rushed on board the station to help with the wounded and dying.

Julianne rushed past and through the crowds towards the infirmary towards where her mother would be. She gently pushed past people as she walked hurriedly towards the room where they told her that her mother was located. Her father, a few paces behind, was struggling harder than the others. Cursing as he pushed through people he finally caught up to Julia as she stood outside her mother's room.

"She probably doesn't want to see you, dad..." Julianne said as she stood outside the room with patients. "After all...it was an Outcast that...that-"

"I know sweetheart...but I'll leave that up to her to decide. I would like to speak with her first, I can only last a few hours without my breather, and I left it in my quarters on your ship so no one would try to kill me when I came on board-"

"She doesn't even know I'm still alive, father. We will both talk to her, together."

"Hell, I didn't know you were alive until a few days ago..."

The two walked into the room and a woman who couldn't have looked older than 40 turned laid on the bed. Julianne's father walked slowly to the bed and said a few words that Julianne couldn't hear. The woman sobbed slightly as she looked up at her ex-husband who apologized again and again for what the menacing man had done to the other Zoner stations, killing hundreds. He laid his head down on the side of the bed and cried himself, the woman soothing him as he cried. The woman looked over and saw her daughter standing there with a faint smile on her face.

"T-The council said you were dead, died in a Nomad attack sacrificing your ship to destroy the Nomad battleship and stopping the onslaught. But...you survived! Oooh." she said groaning in pain.

"Don't over do yourself, mother. From what they tell me you got hit by a falling beam. You're lucky to be alive." Julianne said sitting down in the chair on the other side of the bed. "I guess it come with the family genes huh? Escaping death?"

The woman laughed and nodded ever so slowly.

"It does, Jenna dear...it does."

Few actually survived the bomb blast of Corfu. Of the 80 men and women on the station, only 13 survived the blast. Of the 13, 3 died in the operating rooms of Med.Force.One, the latest dream accomplished by Dr. John Henry Holliday.

Julianne and her father were escorted to the intensive care unit where Julianne's mother lay. She was sedated to hide the pain of a broken back but not enough to keep her sleeping. She had also suffered some burns from the intense heat of the fires on Corfu. As "Jenna" was knelt next to her mother, clutching her hand in both of her own and her father did the same, they never noticed John Holliday himself standing in the doorway, just watching, still wearing the blood stained doctor's coat he had been in for the last several hours. He was tired and his hair was a mess from working so hard for so long but he refused to give in.

He stood for a few minutes, looking on, feeling total empathy for the man and his daughter, a daughter who was strikingly beautiful and the man filled with remorse. Finally, feeling a bit guilty for evesdropping, he spoke so as not to startle but so that he was heard. Even his voice sounded tired.

"I just want you to know that she is one of the lucky few to have survived," he began, "if my security team wasn't hear, that beam would probably still be on top of her."
He then came in and checked her I.V. drip and then turned to Jenna.
"Ms. Julianne, I'm sorry to meet you under such conditions but I can't let her leave this ship anytime soon but I promise you this, she will get no better care anywhere. If you want quarter here, I will arrange it, to include a folding bed next to her if you like."

He then made a glance to the father, "Sir, this offer goes for you too. My staff and ship are at your disposal."
Knowing they would have questions, he sat next to his patient and began talking to her.

"You're going to be fine, Ma'am," he said softly, "I'm keeping you sedated because your restraints aren't too comfortable and this way you won't notice them."
He then looked up to Jenna and her father. Putting on a faint smile, he looked back to his patient, "Your family is here and I will allow them to stay as long as they like."
In an effort to raise her spirits a bit, he smiled a bit to his patient, "I see where your daughter gets her good looks from." Maintaining his smile, he pointed at himself, knowing how aweful he looked, "You know, it could be worse. You could look like me!"
He then sat with his patient and family, offering his support and re-assurance.

"Well, thank you Mr. Holliday." Julia said leaving the room with her mother and father. "However, there's still the question, where has our friend 'The Joker' gone off to this time? I'm sure we're looking for him."

Doc didn't answer, maybe he was scared to speak the truth, or maybe he simply didn't know, Julia didn't know, and didn't bother to ask...maybe he just didn't hear her. She pondered to herself, how hard would it be to get together a rag-tag fleet of Zoner ships to find the sucker and kill him...perhaps mask it as "exploring" or something. Julia shook her head, she couldn't do that, not with the Tyche or any ships related to her. She would have to hire someone to hunt him down and kill him...

"Jenna..." her mother said. "...what are you thinking about?" she said looking towards the door, where Julia stood. Julia smiled.

"Nothing mother...just thinking of what I'm going to do when I find that-"

"Don't think about that for now...come sit down with me, dear."

Julia resumed her seat near her father and Julia looked back at Doc.

"Tell me what I can do to help out. I can bring in repair crews, more help for the folks injured, I can even have some of my gunboat shuttles from the ship be re-armored, gunned up and sent back out around the systems as scouts to keep an eye out for anyone else that may have targeted other Zoner stations. Hell, I could even have the Arrow, our Cruiser, detach from our ships moor and scout with them. Just tell me what is needed, and I'll help out."

With the Commander's Mother resting comfortably with her family, Doc took a seat in front of Julia.

"First of all, you may call me Doc like all my friends do," he began, "and as far as The Joker goes, I haven't a clue as to where he is. We got here shortly after the attack happened and he was gone. I'm guessing he's laying low somewhere. He's as intelligent as he is insane unfortunately."

He saw the dejected look in her face, knowing it wasn't what she wanted to hear but it was the only answer he had. He then took her hand in his own, "You are doing more for us right this moment than you could possibly imagine. We have enough repair crews and medical staff to where they can work in shifts and supplies are coming in from everywhere." He gripped her hand in assurance a bit tighter, "So please, relax best you can. You are the best strength your mother could possibly have right now. If you want to do more, we can always use security around here."
He then looked into her face with a smile, "I'm glad you're here, helping your mother." He then let her hand go, hoping he hadn't made her feel.....uncomfortable.

"I will be back shortly," he said as he stood up, I have some rounds to make. I promise I won't be too long."

Space was alive in Omicron Theta today. Freighters and transports under heavy escort brought in supplies while countless combat capable craft floated about prepared to crush the villain should he return. Upon emerging from a jump hole in the Napo Cloud, Victor sets a course for Corfu. Speeding out of the Napo Cloud he is contacted by the communications officer from Med.Force.One requesting clearance codes. Victor transmits them and prepares to dock.

Glancing at the entrance to the ICU Victor pushes the door open and is greeted by a nurse, "Mr Cross, I presume? Ah, yes you do look like him; your brother is right this way." The nurse leads Victor through a maze of hallways and rooms finally stopping and opening a door. "I'll let Doc know you are here." Thanking her Victor rushes into the room. William lies motionless on the medical bed.

Stopping at the foot of the bed "Just came by to check up on you. Doc says he isn't sure when you will wake up." Victor moves over to and sits down in a recliner, "I sold the Mon'Kal. Some miner in Liberty thought he could fix her up, but I don't think she will fly again." Victor stares out the view port into space, "You should see it out there. How some people get the idea we are on the brink of civil war I cannot understand. I guess they just don't understand us. Even divided we are united."

As he walked making his rounds, he entered the room where William lay comotose, the monitoring equipment beeping away as fate argued with itself as to whether the man would live or die and if he did live, when he would wake up. He also saw his brother, Victor, sitting in the recliner talking to his brother. Doc wasn't sure of what to say to Victor as he had little encouragement to offer and was rather somber himself. He just stood, looking over William and then looking to Victor. The only words he could muster were, "Victor, I'm sorry."
