Disconnect

The RP 24/7 server is up again. I enter my Radu4Moto character, and after maximum 10 seconds I get disconnected. That message with "the connection got lost" or something like that. I tried connecting 20 times, and each time, after not even 10 seconds of playing, I get disconnected! Why?! The ping is 50, which is extremely good [:P].

But after a certain amount it bans you, confusing.

Do you get that?

You may find you have a piece of kit mounted that you shouldn't have. Unmount all your guns, shield etc and then remount them. This might help.

I don't get any warning before I get disconnected. I logon, and after a few seconds, I get that "The connection might got lost..." (you know... that 3 lines message)... In conclusion, I got disconnected! I don't know why!

I can't unmount all my items! I don't have time to! ROfl

Make sure you aren't torrenting or downloading anything, or make sure you have enough bandwidth to play the game. Downloading, uploading, or torrenting things give you extreme package loss. If you reach 40% Loss, you'll be kicked - that may be what's happening to you right now.



I know that I was almost kicked when someone started uploading a Youtube video on my connection once.. and I was in the middle of playing in Gallia. Not. Fun.

Im not making a new topic because i have kinda similar problem.

First, i turned on the game, then it took like 2 minutes to find the servers, when i tried
to connect to the discovery server, it said: "please wait, this operation takes longer than expected"
or something like that.

After an hour it cant even find any server.

What sort of anti-virus product do you use?

Are you using vista/windows 7?

Alright, I don't know what was it. My ISP is pretty good (by pretty I mean VERY:P). I closed uTorrent and any other program that could've used my bandwith (although my bandwith is pretty large ^^). I still got disconnected after not even 5 seconds.

I had two Freelancer folders (one normal and one with SpeedMod - when I was playing on another server, not RP 24/7). Maybe the server detected the SpeedMod... I dunno. I uninstalled Freelancer, reinstalled it, re-applied the mod and pasted the Update 2 and Update 3 into the game folder. Now it's working just fine.
