My name is Jacob Keller and I am the Commander of the Children of Conviction. We are a mercenary faction dedicated to assisting those in the more...shady parts of Sirius. We have been around Sirius for 500 years, however our previous leader, whom is no longer in command...
The man laughs
...decided not to make our presence known for several years. Before that, we stayed to the shadows as well, our name myth and legend. Now, we are coming back out of our slump and are re-emerging back into the place that we call Sirius. However, because we haven't been out in the world for a while, many of our previous...contracts, expired.
We stand before you, requesting contracts to be made with us to aid you in escorting your smuggling convoys, protecting you from lawful threats that may be in your local area, assassinating high profile targets that you wish out of the way, or simply just hiring us to kill someone you don't much like who has been bothering you.
However...please remember that we will not be hired to attack another pirate faction, for this could be bad for our...business, you see. If you wish a contract with the Children of Conviction, the private message system is open for business as is my S.K.Y.P.E. comm (biggest.ego.ever).
We look forward to...hearing from some of you in the future.

I find in your transmission that your services could be very useful for our cardi smugglers, but this raises some questions:
-What do you mean assist pirates, you can be found working with Outcasts and Corsairs at the same time?
-What if in your service of escort the transport is attacked by a pirate faction.
-I dont know you group well, so there is any kind of diplomacy done yet or your group is totally mercenary?
This is just some info i would like to know, and i dont speak for the leaders, the decision if your services could be fully trusted is the hands of the Commonwealth, but in meantime you could give us more feedback or perhaps a meeting in our beloved planet home..
The Children of Conviction are a mercenary faction that does not take sides in the Corsair-Outcast war. Nor will we take sides in any other war siding with any criminal faction. Doing so would hurt our business. When I say, not taking sides, I mean we will not be hired for any raids on, say for example, a Corsair system by the Outcast commonwealth. However, if in the process of escorting Cardamine smugglers, as you have sighted interest in, if they are attacked by Corsair pilots, we will defend the transports cargo and well being, as this is what we have been contracted for. Similarly, if hired by the Corsairs to escort shipments of Artifacts into house systems, if we are attacked by Outcasts, we would react the same, protecting the shipments as the contract clearly states.
Let me repeat what I said before. We will not be taking any sides between the Corsairs nor the Outcasts.
As for our diplomacy, the Children of Conviction have not run any missions with the Outcasts since the middle of 500 A.S. Reasons for this are among the factor that during that time frame, there was a leak in the information that we were being given by the dons of the time. We were running assassination missions for them and several of our operatives were lost due to this leak. However, being that sufficient time has passed, we see no reason for our two people to not take up negotiations to work out a contract.
If you wish for me and some of my men to men to come to your beloved Malta to discuss the finer points of this contract, please contact me privately once the commonwealth leaders have decided on if they would like our services.
Thank you for your time.

Subject: Contracts
We've not yet discussed the matter of hiring you among the Council of Ministers. However, I do have one question.
Sometimes, we have issues with renegade pilots taking one of our gunships out on a joyride through New York. As I'm sure you can guess, this draws unwanted attention to our allies... who these pilots often insult, harass, and even occasionally assault.
Would you be willing to take a contract against those pilots, or would that count for your purposes as a war between pirates?
This is, so far, just for reference. But it's always smart to know what all your options are.
We would prefer to not attack pirates, however if you have no control over ships in question, and if they indeed are out on a "Joyride" as you say and unresponsive to your commands, we may consider taking contracts on ships in question.
This, however, must be discussed in further detail if we are to pursue with this part of the contract.

Alexial: Well, I am intrigued, although I'd need you to answer several of my questions before we get down to business. First, you never take contracts for navy, police, or coporation employers? Second, were the slightest chance were to occur that you were hired to attack some sort of lawful group, and a group of pirates were to aid the lawfuls, would you attack the pirates aswell? Third, were a pirate group to hire you in order to assist them in taking out a navy or something simmilar, and lawfuls were to assist your employers, would you have any problems? Well, once these questions have been answered then we might be able to do business together.
First of all, if any pirates is in their right mind to help any lawful folk out, they deserve to be put out of their misery...and no lawful scum would help us, if they did they are out for person gain, probably to put a source within our men and women...and if they assisted us, we would turn our guns on them as well.
No mercy.

Alexial: So you haven't heard about the Corsairs who are helping Kusari then? Well, despite that I think we will get along just fine *smiles* I might have some contracts for you soon.
