Tis may have been discussed before but I couldn't find it using the search function, either because I'm stupid or because I used the wrong words, anyway.
I was wondering, is it possible to normalise - that is, to make everything equal - throughout the whole sector.
Rather than having a Rhienland LF trouncing a Libert LF, because they're encountered further on in the storyline, can't a standard be set where by all LFs conform to a set of "normal" values, all HFs and VHFs, gunboats and so on, for all factions, rather than having Rhienland LFs dominating Liberty LFs.
Also, would it be possible to apply this to the Missions, instead of the low paying mission 33k for a "difficult" mission from New York versus 250k for a medium difficulty mission from Omicron Alpha, couldn't they all have a set of normalised values based on the skill of the player viewing the job board.
Same with NPC loadout, the weakling NPCs are all found in Libertya nd the well kitted out ones-
Well, you get where I'm going with this.
I know, the drawback to this is that Newbies will get totally trounced early on, but if the loadout can change over a given level area for the player, then surely just by extending this given range and coding the suitable loadouts, you can have it so that the server generates low-level NPCs for low-level players and high-level NPCs for high-level players.Same with missions, and all that jazz, yada yada yada, you get the idea.
i dont think that the engine is complex enough to change the npcs per player level, or the loadouts, it would be alot of code, and aside form that the debate over loadouts and ships would take forever.
just keep it as is.

MkII ships were made for this reason, and its also why when you find KNF and BAF fighters encounter each other, they both use those MkIIs. So instead of seeing Valkyries fighting Defenders, you'll see Wraths fighting Guardians/Avengers. Instead of Crusaders fighting Dragons, you see Templars fighting Chimaeras.
