Now, recently, I had a couple reports of Junker piracy, which, while not being quite extreme in happenings, don't generally occur for no reason in particular, i.e. its going to happen if they're carrying something you corsairs don't like all that much.
Such things I cannot know, and generally cannot be proven without evidence. And so, as such, I am requesting that any junkers in any way that is both largely uncouth, and without reason to collect such evidence and note it here.
Secondly, I am going to ask that if a Corsair pirate feels that any one of the junkers here has forged evidence or such of the like, to post a counter evidence to support their claims.
Lastly, I am well aware of the common view that a large portion of the Corsair economy is based on piracy, whether it be true or not. As such, if you got pirated for a mere pittance, please, don't note it down here, after all, a donation here or there goes a long way in maintaining our relationship.
By the way, this is from me as a junker, not as a Congressman, so don't offload anything onto them.
It would appear that the first sentence came out wrong, it is not junkers pirating, that would be a marginally worse problem, but it is the piracy of junkers.
Besides, any junker pirating openly really isn't all that bright.

Corsairs "pirating" the junkers. Never ever seen that in my life. Once again you're wrong.
We pirate the bretonians, maybe some other fools from the Rheinland, but I don't remember anyone else.
Maybe you refer to our low taxes.
Using our space have its price.
There, there junker. You will find an other ship to fly pretty soon. I'm sure even your "unknown location" is next to a place full of abandoned ships. Stay where the money is in Liberty if you aren't looking for paying our taxes we use for "your security".

Pirating, taxation, isn't it all the same? I for one, do not mind paying a lil' tax every now and then, then again, I am known for being perhaps even a bit too much of a kind soul. One thing that you 'Sairs should have in mind, though, is that we do not tax you for use of our bases or when you want to place some of your precious trinkets in our markets. Perhaps we should start doing it as well? I mean, we do need to balance things out, right?
This wouldn't be so bad if you weren't such disorganized folk. I have seen various folk have to pay one of your "low taxes" several times over. You really need to improve on that aspect, communication. Perhaps this could be done another way, one that could avoid further conflict. Something of the sorts of a monthly usage fee? You pay us for the use, resupply and market permits and we pay you for the use of your bases and the rights to sell your shiny artifacts, off of which you profit from. It seems you gain a lot more than you loose this way.
I am just throwing ideas in the table here. I don't know whether the rest of the Congress would go for something of this sort.
I would invite you for a drink at my bar so we could talk this through with more detail, but you are halfway across Sirius, so I doubt it would be possible. That and due to my current physical condition I am not allowed to travel...
I look forward to hearing from you.

Pirating and Taxing ? The same ? Dear ! Call for a medic.
Believe me, even the money bag feel the difference between them.
We're good enough to make pay the only ones they use our space. It's also a way for we control what your greed make you get in your ship. I'm not stupid amigo, I know your deals with the outcasts and the hessians. Do you think we will let it be ? You're a bit wrong on it.
Signed,
Elder Grimly, Sovereign of the Black Sails

I would believe that the Corsair nation, being such long-lasting costumer of ours would know what we do by now. We provide safe harbor to everyone... for modest fees, of course. You are just as welcome to use our bases as the next guy. And said other "guys" don't go around hunting us down for it. You yourselves are allied to the Hogosha, and what do we do? We let it be. It would be unhealthy for both of us to hunt you down. You would loose a major slice of your black market profiteering and we would loose one of our biggest costumers.
My point remains, you are making us pay for generating profit for you. As I said, that isn't what bothers me. The sale of artifacts is more than enough to cover for such expenses. What I do matter is when my fellow Junkers, my family gets hurt, especially due to misguided, undue hatred.
Anyways, I'm done here. How could I forget that the Corsair mentality is set in stone. Have it your way. Just don't expect me to put any more money in your pockets.

I am sorry Mr Beast, I think you have the whole issue turned around, the Corsairs are not customers for the Junkers, you Junkers are costumers of the Corsairs. You dont want to import Artifacts? Thats fine, I am quite certain the Rogues would love to take over the Artifact market in Liberty, in fact they have said it in the past. We dont need you Junkers, but if you want to do more that pick scrap metal out of space and move Cardimine you need us. Oh yes, we know you move Cardimine for the Outcasts,
Now you can either shut, or lose out on one of your most lucrative commodities to others. There are many groups would love to increase their presence in the artifact market. So, if you dont like how you are treated in our space, get the hell out.
First of all, I have to tell, that each junker represents his own family, interests and friends. So Be smart especially if you are a part of such a free-souled nation as yours, to ask about if the congressman who was kind enough to make a statement, represents all of a station, a company or so.
It seems it is me who I must discuss with you about your statements of Hessians. For example.
First of all, let me tell you a short story.
A few days before three little blood-drinker bats gone out to hunt for some fresh prey. Three of your kind and precise corsair boys. They managed their run till sigma 13. They headed to...let us guess...alpha? When they run into a lost destroyer from the outcasts. And you know what happened? Your boys simply run to the closest junker base...that was Yanagi, where one of the junker congressmans recycler made the outcast destroyer, to obey the no fire rule our base. They pure corsair boys ....well make your statements please. I think you can imagine what would happen with them without that junker base. What they used for free. And even a congressmans employee helped them to survive with the help of the station.
Evidences? YOu and us doesnt need such o stuff. But Im sure each corsair is responsible for his own good. Thats why it was thsoe boys problem and not yours.
And the part of the story what hasnt been told and I let you know. Those 3 fighters had 9 corsairs overall on their boards and hold. And when the outcasts destroyer landed on the station with its 210 hispanian solider... you can imagine what happened...
But you are not right. Our junker cyber-modificated security soliders solved the problem, and the contracts what we have with the outcasts made them stop from torturing or raping your bats. rookies? No, they were trained pilots 3 of them overall. And they could leave the station only because the hispanian army made a right decision on not to attack on the junker technicians.
And that is not somthing you cannot understand. your boys used the pact. And they are alive. You do that all day no matter of where are you in space. Corsairs use junker bases, just because they have to hide sometimes, and only our people is the one who saves your arses.
So if you keep pirating the junkers, we will be pissed off and the bases, what are guarded by junker bombers and fighters, plus those pretty salvagers, will close their gates in front of the corsair pilots who is in danger-and already asked for tax form junkers.
If you make an offer: like 1 million for using your space- for 1 week, what means no harm from corsairs is kind of correct. But 3 million on each run is sound like more than just simple tax...
Sure you can keep using our bases. But remeber when our people just turns back of a situation in a bar, and your numbers will slowly decrease cause of your own enemys like the hessians, liberty navy, police anywhere, or your bloeved outcasts.
If you steal form our people, his friends will just turn away when you are in need for food or the stuffie what we both know and wont mention...
Please, and it is not offical request: please make sure your boys doesnt harm the no fire law aganist junkers, and we make sure that our boys wont shoot down the mighty but soemtimes int-trouble, boys of the sairs...no matter they are on our base or just floating in space after a combat...do you still not see the light? If your boys stops the young pilots of your nation, than our freshly trained pilots wont run on mad kamikaze run with a brutal bomber.
And yes. you personally pirated many junkers. Took their cargo and made them to be afraid of their and their crew's life no matter of that kind'o crew they carried.
Proof? We dont need it. You and I know it aswell- if they pay, they can live. Easy rule of corsairs. All junkers follow it, but some of them pay in food or in special items what you need more than credits. Comprende amigo?
Till you hide on our bases, you are not home. If we are not home when flying in your space or resting on your station.
If you are kind with us, help us to help your people, we send the best girls into the bar when your boys appear, and you will be safe-anytime. Lookaround.
I simply dont understand whay you want to loose one of your biggest advantage, for a really low amount of instant-cash.
Want me to be even shorter?
Pirate tax=you get no notstarvinchick.
comprede?
Senior Miguel Sephardi: Not all junkers are in the artifact buisness my friend. And not even the 10 percent of them. So I think you tries to ruin your own nation'S renomee. And as an elder of your people you could choose your words more visely...the junkers can get artifacts from 4th or 6th hand aswell if they need it that mutch. But you cannot refresh your blood, and get new cyber accessorys for your low ranked pilots cheaper that from junkers.
But I tell you somthing more: nowdays the junker ships can move threw the corsair sectors unharmed. usually my companys employee reports that the corsairs stopped taxing them. it seems somone from the high order gave them the good words.
So till it remains like that, Krauzberg depot, and Bornholme will be neutral as always, just like the peacekeepers of Yanagi.
But you have to think reasonable, not makin any bad decision.
Yours:
Dr. G?nther Fridrikson
