Im from Guatemala, I can speak a decent English (Eu falo ?ao portuguese tambem xD), but sometimes its harrder, becasue I dont know a word or I cant spell it.


Also in the game, I really REALLY like the idea of a Spanish-Talking Admin, or at least some form of spanglish


Aaaalot of Pilots could help, assisting a mod trying to solve a problem between non-english-speaker players.

I'll be honest with you, I think that's a great idea. But, unfortunately, the idea has also been brought up multiple times and shot down multiple times. Unlike many other servers, Discovery is English-only.

3.2 All messages in system chat must be in understandable English.

This is because Discovery is a RP server. If other people don't understand your RP... well...yeah.

Note that the only time where you must speak English is in system chat. So, feel free to PM(Green messages) someone and ask them if they can help you. Spanish being a very common spoken language nowadays, they probably will be able to help you with some stuff.

I ment mostry in the forums, some subforum for diferent languajes.

And for example, in the Omicrons Hola, in Kusari Konichiwa, en Rehiland, Guden Tag (sorry I cant spell it ^^), etc etc..


A list of plurilingual players could help the Admins.

There won't be foreign language sections of the forums, or translations of the rules. This is English only.

However using Hola, Konnichiwa in system is fine so long as the rest of your text is understandable English. Throwing the occasional foreign word out isn't bad, so long as you don't swear. We slap hard if you swear even in a foreign language.

Well I have to say, non english speaking people in game irritates me to no end in-game... But that's not what this is about.

I misunderstood this when I first read it. Now that I understand, I think it would be cool to have what I thought Rukena meant.

That is, a Pinned thread with a few words of the languages used by the houses, that IS acceptable to use in game, and their meanings.

Things like greetings, weak insults, etc.
I'm pretty sure Gringo means someone who isn't spanish, but I don't know for sure. Thus a thread like this would come in handy.

And I'm going to say no to the language thing. There may be 7 Houses, but ONE server. ONE. It's good to have ONE language per SERVER.

FYI, I am a foreign speaker as well.
