To whom it may concern:
I'll try to keep this short and simple. I'm a freelancer who works mainly with the 'central' and 'southern' houses of the Sirius sector, keeping the good guys safe and scaring the pirates away. As you can imagine, I come across all sorts of obstacles in my line of work, and sometimes it takes excessive firepower to get them out of my way. Which brings me to the point of all this.
I recently came across a pair of your best Tachyon guns, the Adv. Splitter. I'll be honest here: I got them from an anonymous dealer on Trafalgar, and I didn't ask where he'd found the guns. I'd been considering swapping out two of my laser cannons for this amazing equipment, but I figured it would be best to ask the rightful owners first. After all, I wouldn't want to be accused of theft.
As for why I'd deserve these guns, well, that's up to you. I'll tell you that I'm no stranger to Bretonia, though. I grew up on Leeds, and started my career as a pilot for a local shipping company that was later absorbed by Bowex. I learned that cargo transport in Bretonia can be a surprisingly dangerous job, and gained a certain respect for all such pilots. Now that I've got a ship of my own, I try to help them out where I can. Any time I find myself in Bretonia, I make sure to take a few escort jobs, helping companies like Bowex and Gateway move their cargo safely.
Ah, but I'm getting carried away. This is about those two guns. So I'll let you guys think about it, and you can get back to me on this channel. Thank you for your time.

The BPA has few qualms about the responsible use of Bretonia's weaponry. The key word in that sentence being responsible.
I would give you two warnings about the weaponry, though. To start, they are highly conspicuous weapons. Such a neutral person (who I am sure is interested in engaging in as few brawls as possible) might benefit more from using another type of Tachyon Cannon, such as the IMG Vampire, as the Bretonia Tachyon Cannon is distinctive of a do-gooder. This may be more of a disadvantage than can be made up for by the military specifications of these guns, as habberdashers will recognize you as more of a threat and informant than a neutral man. Though I would not prohibit you from purchasing from military surplus, I would advise against it.
Additionally, the manner in which you have attained or plan to attain these weapons is disturbing. Though it is not unheard of, the resale of military surplus weapons is discouraged. The Junkers are also lacking reputable status. Before you purchase or mount these weapons, I would like to request the details of this junk dealer in order to assure the legitimacy of these particular models and the standards of their operation.
I would also like to warn against subtle insults, even if they are not intended. The Bretonia Police Authority and Armed Forces can only do so much to prevent crimes from occurring. There are only so many of us and an infinite amount of space. If you feel that Bretonia corporations are so unprotected in Bretonia, I would rather see a man who has a sound head on his shoulders sign onto one of the aforementioned organizations. Again, I will do nothing to discourage freelance work, however, I would rather see another man in uniform amongst his friends than a man using military surplus relying solely on his wit.

I understand your concern for the "responsible use" of these weapons, sir, and I assure you: they will be used responsibly. I use the power of my weapons solely for defense and protection.
If using these cannons makes me appear to others as a "do-gooder", then it's all the more reason for me to mount them. Most outlaws already recognize me as such. I don't mingle with those who prey on the innocent.
And as I said, I already have the two weapons in my possession. It took me a few days to track down the Junker who sold them to me (Hence the lateness of my reply), and got some more information out of him. The man's name is James. He wouldn't give me his last name, but he told me where he found the guns. James was scavenging wrecks in Tau 31, and came across a Bretonian fighter with its engines blown. The weaponry was still intact, so he took it. That's what he tells me, anyway.
And I apologize for insulting you, Commissioner, and I certainly didn't mean to. I never meant to imply that the Bretonian Police aren't doing their jobs properly.
Sir, I refer you to Article II, Section 3, Sub-section ix of the Constitution of Bretonia which as I quote states "The Crown claims ownership over all wrecks of spacecraft within Bretonian territory. The Monarch has granted the BPA and BAF powers to use any equipment found within such wrecks for their benefit." This passage combined with your own testimony clearly implies that your ownership of these weapons is of dubious legality - the junker in question is guilty of theft of the weapons from the Crown by not reporting the find to the Royal Receiver of Wreck. As such you are in currently in possession of stolen goods.
The Bretonian Armed Forces does occasionally make exceptions to grant license of our weapons to freelance agents - however, this is almost exclusively in the case of those who already have a record of proven and dedicated loyalty to and service of the Bretonian Crown. In your case, escort of private shipping companies, whilst admirable and certainly to be encouraged, is not really putting our hardware to optimal use when our beloved nation is at war, certainly given that you say most of your work is in other Houses. Perhaps you should apply for equipment from one of their governments with whom you have a closer professional relationship. Should you change your area and line of work and enter directly into Crown service against our enemies we will of course be prepared to reconsider this decision at a later date. Until such time, however, you are kindly requested to return the armaments to the nearest BAF, BPA or BMM depot.

Very well. The guns have been returned to the Battleship Suffolk. They're back where they belong.
However, I'd still be interested in acquiring a pair of the Adv. Splitters, preferably by legitimate means this time. Is there any way at all that I could purchase them, or otherwise earn them? If there's no way at all, then I'll just drop the subject completely. Sorry to continually bother you all with this...
