Conflicting laws will be revisioned, most likely, I just need to get it touch with [RM].
As for RepEx player, that's out of my knowledge.
However it's not nice of him to disclose his identity to people other then mwerte (RepEx leader, obviliously).
' Wrote:Imagine my surprise when I am told I need to purchase a license by a RepEx vessel, and threatened by a Freelancer acting under contract to the RFP - both of whom are quoting regulations that are not actually a part of the Laws of Rhineland.
Did you read the following paragraph?
Quote:§2.1.3. Other regulations regarding the shipping of certain goods may be implemented after official publication on the Communication channel.
' Wrote:Furthermore, your own regulations regarding weapons dealing are confusing. On the one hand there are listed licensees (GMG and ALG) - but the regulation itself states:
"Due to Rheinwehr regulations, military vehicles can only be transported by Daumann Heavy Construction, Republican Shipping, Kishiro Technologies, Samura Industries and ALG Waste Disposal on special occasions."
So what's the problem? ALG can carry Military vehicles and GMG has only permission for light arms.
btw: It's the "Military Resources License", the "Weapons Dealing License" is about codename trade.
' Wrote:I put it to the RFP that if any of the companies listed above are expected to gain a license for material they are already legally entitled to trade - that the Laws of Rhineland be updated.
Not really. DHC, RepEx, Kruger, Kishiro and Samura got the right to buy a license for it. If they want to export it from Rheinland, they need a license. In Rheinland (for example to Westfalen), they may carry it.
' Wrote:The Laws could specifically grant the RFP the authority to administer trade licenses - and then link to the RFPs thread.
Yeah, this would be helpful. I'll have a talk to the [RM]-Leadership.
' Wrote:Another question - a RepEx player claimed to be in fact a detective for the RFP - is it the case that the RFP employes undercover agents disguised as Rhineland commercial traders?
Do you mean RepEx-Shipping|034? Yeah, he's employed in the RFP. But if he flies under RepEx-Banner, he shouldn't do police work. We don't need undercovered agents.
I think his point is, the Laws of Rheinland make it appear you don't need to contact the RFP in order to get a license. Players shouldn't have to dig through a million and one threads in the Communication forum to find the thread they need. A link within the laws is far better than a vague statement that there could be something to look for in the Comm Channels.
I'll say my $0.02 since Im the one who did such...
In a sense the complications in which the laws of Rheinland do not go with the laws with the Polizei and perhaps this is a step in which changes should be made to help correct those problems.
However the thread needed if I recall is not in the communications thread, its right here in the Factions section.
Now in the such as myself flying under RepEx, yes I did stop the pilot in question, however I could do nothing to enforce it under the circumstances, I merely suggested to do such so that complications to the degree did not happen again, thus no problems were created aside from asking a few questions and the downing of a lane. For the record this isn't the first time I've done such, an example would be such as helping out secondary RM pilots in problems with dealings in embargo breakers.
The freelancer pilot is however under a contract with the Polizei, kinda like Adam Spire is with the [RM] and such, however those details need to be updated as well.
When it comes to the sense of undercover cops, there is nothing wrong with it, however this would change should Rhienlands groups such as the BDM get their activity up and do such so as we don't need to do it for them.

This is a general feed back for RFP, RM, and the Rheinland intelligence group. Instead of hiring FL's and having them do your job for you. How about you make them join your ranks or require them to be indies. By allowing them to do almost exactly what you do, you are depriving yourselves of an active member.
This may not matter much to the RFP or [RM], but I by SMI's comments that the Intelligence group needs activity. Just my two cents.
As the pilot in question who is under contract, let me explain. the contract is not as an indie, however i can act as such. While i understand where your coming from, the pilot is NOT an RFP member, and her rp is such that she would not tie herself to a house. she has the OPTION of executing the contract when nessisary, but is not rheinlander herself. The contract is in exchange of weapon usage. Equipment in exchange for services rendered while in rheinland. However, its been this way for about three months, and STILL has not been updated properly. not even on the appropriate tech permissions. I grow tired of this.
